得ないものである。 The applicant previously filed a patent application No. 189833/1989 for ``Method of External Rooftop Insulation for Concrete Buildings''. This invention uses a heat insulating material 2 as shown in FIG. 1, which has a protrusion 10 on one side of the outer periphery and a recessed part 11 on the opposite side, and a recessed part 11 that fits into the protrusion 10 on the other side. It has a concave part 11 that can be recessed and a protrusion 10 on the opposite side thereof, and is arranged so that the protrusion 10 of the adjacent heat insulating material 2 fits into the concave part 11 of the adjacent heat insulating material 2. FIG. 2 is a perspective view of the above-mentioned heat insulating material 2 installed. Mortar 4 is further applied to the top of the roof slab 1 made of RC or PC board, the unevenness is smoothed out, and asphalt-based Apply waterproof layer 3. Next, the heat insulating materials 2 are placed closely together, and the seams are covered with vertically long and thin caps 8.
After the intersection of the seams is covered with a thin intersection cap 9, cinder concrete 7 is poured into the recess 12 of the heat insulating material 2. However, this structure is
Since the joint 6, which is a rising part, is formed around the insulation material 2, even if rainwater penetrates through the cracks in the cinder concrete 7 and reaches the surface of the recess 12 of the insulation material 2, it will not remain on the insulation material 2. The water flows into the gap 7a between the rising joint 6 and the cinder concrete 7.
Since it evaporates from the water (see FIG. 3), it does not accumulate on the waterproof layer 3, and therefore the heat insulating effect cannot deteriorate.

The cap 8 and the intersection cap 9, which are fitted from above to the seam (straight line) and the intersection of the seams, are effective against rainwater that falls directly onto the cap 8 and the intersection cap 9. Water a that has entered through the gap 7a from above the cinder concrete 7 and water b that has accumulated on the heat insulating material 2 rises through the gap 6a between the caps 8 and 9 and the joint 6 due to the capillary phenomenon and flows to the adjacent area. The waterproof layer 3
(See FIG. 1) and accumulates on the top, causing deterioration of the heat insulating material 2.

る。 The present invention has been made in order to improve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and is intended to provide continuous protrusions on roof slabs of concrete buildings on which a waterproof layer has been applied, while also serving as concrete joints on the periphery of the flat plate. When a heat insulating material with recesses formed by molding is laid and the joints of the heat insulating material and the intersection of the joints are covered with a cap and a cap at the intersection, the cap and the intersection are coated with a sealant on the inside of both legs in advance. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for constructing a joint cap for an external rooftop insulation material, which is characterized in that the cap is fitted from above into the joints and joint intersections of the laid insulation material.

FIG. 4 is an explanatory diagram of the joint cap construction method of the present invention, in which joints 6 and joint intersections 14 (see FIG. 1) of the insulation material 2 laid adjacent to each other are covered with caps 8 and intersection caps 9. When covering the legs, the sealing material 13 is first applied to the inside of both legs with a gun or the like, and then fitted from the top to seal the joint and the cap. The sealing material 13 is suitably a non-oily polysulfuric, thiol-based, or urethane-based sealing material.
