Conventionally, washing large vehicles has relied on hand washing, and because the washing area is larger and dirtier than that of passenger cars, it takes two to four hours to wash one car.
Additionally, workers washed cars in unfavorable working conditions, wearing raincoats to prevent wash water and muddy water from splashing onto their work clothes. On the other hand, car wash equipment for small vehicles such as those installed at gas stations, etc., in which the car is stopped and the car wash equipment is moved, cannot be used practically for large vehicles because the scale is too large. is the current situation. Therefore, as a car wash device for such a large vehicle, there is a car wash device in which the car wash device is kept stationary and the vehicle is driven by itself inside the device, and high-pressure washing water is sprayed onto the vehicle to wash the car in a short time. A device can be considered. However, in this case, washing water is sprayed from the fountain nozzle onto both sides and the top and bottom of the vehicle, and the spray direction cannot be changed, so the washing water may be sprayed onto parts that the driver does not want, such as the cargo bed, causing the cargo bed to become damaged. There is also a drawback that it is not possible to spray cleaning water preferentially to areas that are undesirably wet or that are particularly heavily soiled.

Further, Japanese Utility Model Application No. 58-28048 discloses a tire cleaning device equipped with an injection pipe that can switch the direction of injection of washing water from a fountain nozzle to any direction; It is equipped with a step-adjustable joint that allows the extension pipe to be adjusted at any angle relative to the water supply pipe, and allows for relative rotation between the connecting rod and the fountain pipe, which connects and swings multiple fountain pipes at the same time. It is not a device that allows the directional position to be adjusted in stages, and therefore it is extremely easy to make changes such as spraying water only at a desired location and not spraying it at other locations based on the height of the vehicle. It could not be done manually.

The present invention has been made in order to eliminate the drawbacks of the prior art described above, and its purpose is to allow large vehicles such as large trucks and buses to move on their own and spray washing water from a fountain nozzle onto the vehicle. A plurality of fountains arranged vertically on the sides of a self-propelled vehicle with their respective axes pointing in the same horizontal direction, and swingable about each axis, in a device that sprays water to wash cars. a tube, a plurality of fountain nozzles attached to each of the plurality of fountain tubes and spraying cleaning water, and reciprocating motion in a vertical direction at a predetermined distance from the fountain tube in order to simultaneously swing the plurality of fountain tubes. By changing the relative position of a freely disposed connecting rod, a switching plate fixed to the fountain pipe to connect the connecting rod and the fountain pipe, and the rotating direction of the switching plate and the connecting rod. It is extremely simple because it is equipped with a positioning mechanism that changes the direction of the central jet direction of the fountain nozzle stepwise in two or more directions, and a jet direction switching device that switches the jet direction of cleaning water from the fountain nozzle in two or more directions. The purpose of the present invention is to enable the direction of jetting of cleaning water to be changed in stages by a simple operation, and thereby to prevent the cleaning water from being jetted to an undesired area. Another purpose is to make it possible to wash a car by spraying washing water in a concentrated manner on particularly heavily soiled areas.

The present invention is configured as described above, and its operation will be explained below. First, before washing the vehicle 38, if you do not want to wash parts that the driver does not wish to wash, such as the cargo bed, or if you want to focus on washing parts that are particularly dirty, such as near the suspension or tires, The switching device 5 is operated so that the direction of jetting the cleaning water from the nozzle 11 is directed downward as shown in FIG. To explain the details of this operation, first grasp the knob 35 and pull it in the direction of arrow B against the spring force of the compression spring 33 to remove the positioning hollow member 34 from the counterbore hole 28a of the switching plate 28. Next, grasp the switching lever 30 and press the counterbore hole 28 located at the lowest position.
When a is rotated in the direction of arrow C to a position facing the positioning hollow member 34 and the knob 35 is released,
The positioning hollow member 34 is fitted into the counterbore hole 28a, and the switching plate 28 is fixed to the second connecting rod 15b.

After switching the jetting direction of the washing water from the nozzle 11 downward in this way, the vehicle 38 is driven by itself and enters the car washing device 1 from the entrance side in the direction of the arrow D, and the driver opens the window and enters the vehicle outside. After turning on a certain operation switch (not shown), the vehicle 38 is moved forward with the windows closed. When the operation switch is turned on, the pump and motor 13 rotate, and the pump sucks up the wash water from the water tank and supplies it to the first and second water supply pipes 2a and 2b. Also, the first and second fountain pipes 3a, 3b are connected to the sprocket 13a, chain 19,

In this way, by spraying the cleaning water onto the vehicle 38 while swinging at an angle of, for example, 60 degrees, in addition to the effect that the cleaning water opens by itself and spreads over a certain range when it comes out of the nozzle 11, Since the center of spread moves, the conventional "line washing" state changes to "surface washing" state, and not only can a wider area of the vehicle 38 be efficiently washed, but also the swinging of the nozzle 11 allows the cleaning water to be Since the spray direction changes every moment, dirt that is difficult to remove with spray from one direction can be easily removed.

Moreover, since the direction in which the cleaning water is sprayed from the nozzle 11 is directed downward, the cleaning water is not sprayed onto the loading platform, and the cleaning water is sprayed in a focused manner around particularly heavily soiled suspensions and tires. This makes it possible to remove even the most difficult-to-remove stains. Note that the direction in which the cleaning water is jetted from the nozzle 11 can be changed in various ways by appropriately selecting the counterbore holes 28a of the switching plate 28, and the number of counterbore holes is limited to three. It is clear that this is not the case.

In this state, the vehicle 38 is washed by running itself at low speed, and the vehicle is moved back and forth as appropriate depending on the degree of dirt removal. For example, even if the vehicle is moved back and forth two or three times, the washing time is short. 15 to 20 minutes is enough. After washing the vehicle 38, the driver opens the window and operates the control switch to turn it off. Then, the pump and motor 13 stop, the injection of washing water from the nozzle 11 also stops, and the washing of one vehicle 38 is completed.

Since the present invention is constructed and operates as described above, the present invention is applicable to a car wash in which a large vehicle such as a large truck or bus is driven by itself and washing water is sprayed onto the vehicle from a fountain nozzle. , a plurality of fountain pipes arranged vertically on the sides of a self-propelled vehicle with their respective axes facing the same horizontal direction and swingable about each axis; and each of the plurality of fountain pipes. a plurality of attached fountain nozzles that spray cleaning water; a connecting rod that is disposed so as to be able to reciprocate vertically at a predetermined distance from the fountain tubes in order to swing the plurality of fountain tubes simultaneously; By changing the switching plate fixed to the fountain pipe to connect the connecting rod and the fountain pipe, and the relative position in the rotational direction of the switching plate and the connecting rod, the central jet direction of the fountain nozzle can be changed in two directions. As described above, since it is equipped with a positioning mechanism that changes the direction of cleaning water in stages and a jetting direction switching device that switches the jetting direction of cleaning water from the fountain nozzle in two or more directions, the jetting direction of cleaning water can be changed in stages with extremely simple operation. This has the effect of being able to switch between the two, and as a result, the cleaning water can be prevented from being sprayed onto undesired areas. Furthermore, it is possible to wash the car by spraying washing water in a concentrated manner on particularly heavily soiled areas.
