いた。 By the way, if there are more withdrawals than deposits and there are fewer coins left in the coin storage,
When the coins become empty, the staff replenishes them with coins. When replenishing the coin stock, the clerk mechanically inserts a large number of coins (mixed denominations), but some of the coins may contain so-called damaged coins such as scratches, deformations, and stains. These lost coins were stored in the coin storage unit along with genuine coins and were paid out at the time of withdrawal.

望としてある。(Problem to be Solved by the Invention) As mentioned above, if the coins are replenished by the staff and the damaged coins are mixed in, the damaged coins are also stored in the coin storage section along with the genuine coins. Since the money is paid out at the time of withdrawal, it gives a bad impression to the customer who has had the lost money withdrawn. In particular, for example, if a vending machine dispenses lost money as change, it will not have much of a negative impact on the purchaser, but if lost money is dispensed in a coin processing machine used at a financial institution, it is likely to give a bad impression to the customer. There is a strong demand for eliminating the dispensing of lost coins from the coin processing machines used in financial institutions, as this will lead to a negative image of the financial institutions.

By having the coins collected in the coin storage section, it is possible to prevent the dispensing of damaged coins at the time of withdrawal, and also to prevent coins from getting jammed by damaged coins. It is an object of the present invention to provide a lost coin collection device for a coin processing machine that can be used as a coin processing machine, thereby eliminating the need for a dedicated transport section or collection box.

(step). In this state, it is determined whether or not a coin has been thrown into the hopper 31 based on the detection output from the hopper coin detection sensor 34 (step). In this case, if the cartridge is not loaded within a certain period of time, the input port shutter 32 is closed (step) and the process returns to step. If the coin is inserted within a certain period of time, the input/output shutter 32 is closed approximately 3 seconds after the coin is inserted (step), then the hopper shutter 33 is opened (step), and the coins in the hopper 31 are transferred to the rotary disk 4.

Therefore, the rotary disk 41 rotates, and the coins are aligned along the inner wall of the guide plate 48 by centrifugal force, and are fed into the coin passageway 42 one by one in a connected manner. The coins fed into the coin passage 42 are sequentially conveyed along the longitudinal direction by a conveyor belt 46 stretched above the coins.

As a result of this determination, if an abnormal coin to be removed is detected (step), the corresponding solenoid 61 is excited (step), the branch plate 64 for separating abnormal coins is projected onto the coin passage 42, and the abnormal coins are removed to the reject return section 7 on the side of the coin passage 42. When the second sensor 66 detects that an abnormal coin has entered the reject return section 7 due to this removal operation (step), the solenoid 61 is demagnetized (step), and the branch plate 64 for separating the abnormal coin is
is withdrawn from above the coin passage 42 and returns to the step. The rejected abnormal coins fall from the reject return section 7 onto the conveyor belt 101, and are returned into the hopper 31 by the conveyor belts 101 and 102. Of course, at this time, the hopper shutter 33 is closed, and the abnormal coin is retained in the hopper 31.

It is temporarily added and stored as (+1) in the deposit buffer memory as a counting section of the deposit memory in the RAM 51 (step). This operation continues until the rotary disk coin detection sensor 44 determines that there is no coin on the rotary disk 41 (step).
It is executed repeatedly for all coins. In this way, the number of coins of each denomination can be counted for all the coins inserted. and,
The counted contents are displayed on the data display section 24. Further, at this time, since the branching plates 64 other than the above-mentioned branching plate 64 for removing abnormal coins do not operate, the genuine coins conveyed on the coin passage 42 are caught by the conveyor belts 81 and 82 of the temporary storage section 8. , thereby sequentially being supplied to the bucket 83 on the conveyor belt 84 of the temporary storage section 8. At this time, the conveyor belt 84 is not being driven.

When you input (step 〓〓), CPU121
determines that a withdrawal command has been input, and the input withdrawal amount and number of denominations are entered as withdrawal data.
The customer number is stored in the withdrawal input memory of the RAM 51, and the customer number is also temporarily stored in the RAM 51.
Next, the coin dispensing section 1 provided for each coin storage cylinder 91
2, the one corresponding to the input denomination is operated (Step 〓〓). Then, the number of coins of each denomination dispensed is added to the withdrawal buffer memory of the RAM 51 and subtracted from the storage number memory (step 〓〓〓〓〓), and the contents of this withdrawal buffer memory and the withdrawal input memory are It is determined whether or not the inputted withdrawal data match (step 〓〓), and the above-mentioned dispensing operation is repeated until the two match. That is, the above determination is made by detecting and counting the deposited coins in the dispensing buffer memory and comparing the value with dispensing data in the dispensing input memory for each denomination. Note that the dispensed coins are received on the conveyor belt 101 of the dispensing conveyor section 100.

There is a need. In this case, the mode changeover switch of the data input section 23 is operated to switch to the replenishment mode.
Then, the CUP 121 determines that the replenishment mode has been specified (Step 〓〓).
The entrance/exit shutter 32 is controlled to open. Therefore, when the clerk inserts coins to be replenished into the hopper 31, the CPU 121 confirms this and then controls the insertion port shutter 32 to close. After this, open the hopper shutter 33 (step 〓〓) and

It is driven in the opposite direction to when withdrawing money (step〓〓).
Then, the coin is fed out into the coin passage 42 by the rotation of the rotary disk 41, and the denomination and damaged coins (scratches, deformations, dirty coins, etc.) are determined by the discrimination section 5 (Steps 〓〓〓〓〓). Each time, it is determined whether the corresponding denomination storage tube 91 is full (Step 〓〓), and if it is not full, the coins are separated by denomination and stored in each storage tube 91 (Step 〓〓). , the newly stored number of coins is added to the storage number memory of the RAM 51 which stores the number of coins stored in each coin storage tube 91 (step <<>).

According to the present invention, in a coin processing machine having a dispensing function of dispensing a required number of coins from a coin storage section based on dispensing data, an attendant replenishes the coin storage section in which coins are stored for each denomination. Then, the coins to be replenished are determined not only by their denomination but also by their fitness.
Since coins determined to be damaged coins are collected in the collection box instead of being stored in the coin storage section, it is possible to reliably prevent customers from receiving damaged coins and giving a bad impression. Accidents such as coin jams due to damaged coins when withdrawing money can be prevented in advance,
Moreover, by using the collection box and collection transport section for collecting damaged coins as the collection box for collecting coins in the coin storage section and the transport section for transporting collected coins and withdrawn coins from the coin storage section, respectively. , there is no need to provide a dedicated collection box or collection transport section for the collection of damaged goods.
