Next, the operation will be explained. The blower 2 is rotated by the drive of the motor 4, and indoor air is sucked in through the suction port 5, passes through the air filter 10, passes through the suction introduction tube 6, and is blown onto the coil 3. This indoor air undergoes heat exchange with the coil 3, passes between the casing 1 and the introduction tube 6, and is blown into the room from the outlet 8. Drain generated during heat exchange in the coil 3 is collected in a drain pan 9 and discharged to the outside.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] Since the conventional air conditioner is configured as described above, the air blown into the room is blown out from the entire circumference of the air outlet 8. This method of blowing air is ideal for cooling, but when heating, it is difficult for the blown air to reach the floor. Therefore, in order to make the air reach the floor surface, it is conceivable to narrow the opening size of the air outlet 8 to increase the blowing air speed, or to increase the number of rotations of the air blower 2 to increase the air volume. However, in the former case, the pressure drop at the outlet becomes large, and the rotational speed of the motor must be increased, resulting in a problem of increased noise. There were also other problems, such as the fact that even when the blowing air reached the floor, the wind could be felt in 360° directions, which was bothersome.

Reference numeral 16 denotes an annular plate disposed within the air outlet 8, that is, in the air outlet passage between the casing 1 and the suction introduction pipe 6. As shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, this annular plate 16 has an elongated opening 16a. and closing portions 16b are provided alternately. And the closing part 16b is the closing plate 16b-
1 and 16b-2, and are constructed so that they can be freely moved and fixed to each other. and annular plate 16
A concave groove 16c is formed on the outer peripheral surface of. In the annular plate 16 constructed in this way, the concave groove 16c on the outer circumferential surface corresponds to the protrusion 1a provided on the casing 1 as shown in FIG.
A recess 17 formed at the inner circumferential portion of the introduction tube 6 and the baffle plate 6a is fitted into the recess 17, and is held rotatably.

In the air conditioner of the present invention configured as described above, when the blower 2 is rotated by the drive of the motor 4, the indoor air sucked from the suction port 5 passes through the air filter 10 and the guide tube 7 and the guide plate. 15
The signal is sent to coil 3 via . This indoor air undergoes heat exchange with the coil 3, flows down between the casing 1 and the baffle plate 6a, passes through the opening 16a of the annular plate 16, and is blown out from the outlet 8 into the room. In this way, since the annular plate 16 is rotatably provided within the blow-off passage, the wind blowing out from the blow-off port 8 can be blown out in any direction of 360 degrees depending on the position of the opening 16a. This provides an optimal air-conditioned environment.
Furthermore, depending on the shape of the room in which it is installed, for example, in the case of a rectangular room, the air conditioning effect will be good as the blowing air will be concentrated in the long side direction. 2 is moved and fixed within the annular plate 16 so that the opening 16a can provide the optimum blowout area. The same thing can be said when the ceiling of the room is high.
Furthermore, in a deformed room, if you want to blow out the air in one plane direction instead of diagonally, the closing plate 16b-
By gathering 1, 16b-2 in one direction,
Good blowing air can be obtained and an optimal air-conditioned environment can be obtained.

In addition, as shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the annular plate 16 may be replaced with the air outlet 8.
A similar effect can be obtained by rotatably housing the barrier plates 19 attached to both ends of the arm 18 along the inside and expanding and contracting the barrier plates.

As explained above, according to the present invention, a rotatable annular plate having an opening and a closing part is accommodated in an annular outlet formed on the outer periphery of an inlet, and the opening area of the annular plate is Since the area of the closed part is arbitrarily variable, the wind from the outlet can be blown out in any direction and strength depending on the position and size of the opening in the annular plate, and it can also be adjusted to suit the structure of the room in which it is installed. An optimal air-conditioned environment can be obtained.
