In order to prevent this, measures have been taken to increase the size of the members used or to use reinforcing members, but these countermeasures cannot be said to be perfect in terms of economic efficiency.

In this case, the lower part of the steel tower is equipped with a main column member 2, a horizontal member 3, and a main leg 5, and one end of the heat pipe 1 is buried underground 8 near the main leg 5 to provide a heat collecting section. 11, and the other end side is arranged above the diagonal member 4 with an appropriate interval. As shown in FIG. 2, a rib-shaped member 6 is attached to the upper side of the above-ground part of the heat pipe 1. As shown in FIG.

させる。 In such an arrangement, when the temperature around the steel tower becomes lower than the temperature underground 8 in winter, the heat pipe 1 uses its heat transfer action to absorb heat from the underground at the heat collecting section 11 and radiates the heat at the above ground section. It becomes like this.
Even if part or all of the above-ground part of the heat pipe 1 is covered with snow, the heat pipe 1 continues to dissipate heat in the above-ground part. Most of this heat is radiated to the snow 7. As a result, the snow around the diagonal member 4 is melted and a snow cavity is formed therein, but the snow melting progresses due to settling (compaction) or movement of the snow, and the cavity is enlarged. When the snow becomes compacted and settles, the heat pipe heat dissipation section 12 and the diagonal material 4 become obstacles, and the snow layer becomes curved as shown in Fig. 3. A downward force called sedimentation force acts, but since there is a rib-shaped member 6 on the upper side of the heat radiating part 12, the lines of force are cut and become discontinuous, and the heat pipe heat radiating part 12
This reduces the load applied to the diagonal members 4 together with snow melting.

定される。 In this experiment, the rib-shaped member 6 was continuously placed directly above the portion corresponding to the diagonal member 4.
From the results of this experiment, it can be seen that when the height l of the member 6 is 10 mm or more, the effect of reducing the sinking force is greater than in the case of a heat pipe alone. This is presumed to be because, as shown in FIG. 3, the range in which the left and right lines of force become discontinuous is wider than in the case of the heat pipe 1 alone.

It may be discontinuous. Of course, the shape of this member 6 is not limited to the illustrated example, nor is the material thereof limited.

The load due to snow accumulation can be effectively reduced, and the cost of the member can be significantly reduced. Furthermore, since the member can act as a rib, it is possible to not only improve the mechanical strength of the heat pipe, but also to provide protection against snow falling from the top of the tower.
