自動車ボデイ等の本体に取り付ける為、あるいは
補強の為に内部に主として金属製のインサートを
有することが多い。そして、このような発泡体を
成形する型としては、発泡体の成形時にインサー
トを同時に埋設できるように、インサートをキヤ
ビテイにセツト可能としたものが用いられてい
る。そして、そのような成形型は、インサートの
固定を磁石あるいはピン等によつて行なうのであ
るが、作業者の不注意あるいは不馴れからインサ
ートのセツト忘れ又はセツト位置の狂いが生じた
り、歪等のインサートの形状不良から正確な位置
にセツトされないことがあり、そのような状態で
発泡成形が行なわれると、得られる成形体は不良
品となるばかりでなく、閉型時に成形型がセツト
不良のインサートにより破損する虞もあつた。

感知する近接スイツチからなる感知装置5が埋設
されている。その感知装置5において発生するイ
ンサートの有無等の信号は制御装置6に送られ、
更にそこから電光パネル7あるいは型締装置若し
くは発泡注入機へ制御信号が送られて、インサー
トのセツト状態が表示され、あるいは型締装置若
しくは発泡注入機がインサートのセツト不良時に
作動しないようにコントロールされる。
