Conventionally, facsimile transmission has generally been carried out by placing a document on the paper feed section of a facsimile machine, calling the recipient by telephone, and connecting the line. However, if the other party is busy, it is necessary to keep dialing until the call is connected, which creates a problem for other users. Therefore, an efficient busy processing method is desired.

In other words, you can either store document information in the storage device from the beginning and automatically send it (hereinafter referred to as file transmission), or perform normal transmission operation (hereinafter referred to as normal transmission), and if a call is busy, file transmission is performed. Busy processing can be performed by switching operations.

File transmission is performed by pressing the file transmission key on the operation unit 8. The read document information is stored in the image signal storage section 2, and the phone number of the destination of the document entered using the OMR sheet or numeric keypad is stored as the phone number. The information is stored in the automatic dialing section 15, and the automatic dialing section 14 calls and transmits a call to the other party.

That is, the control section 1 causes the automatic dial section 14 to issue a dial pulse through the network control section 13, and after establishing a line, transmits the image signal in the image signal storage section 2 through the transmission control section 10 and the modulation/demodulation section 11.

Normally, transmission is performed directly without going through the image signal storage section 2, and by pressing the document transmission key on the operation section 8,
When the telephone number of the other party is entered using the numeric keypad, the automatic dialing section 14 is operated, and after the line is established, reading of the document is started and transmission is performed.

In the above operation, busy detection is performed after making a call.
If there is no response after a predetermined period of time (for example, 30 seconds), it is determined that the call is busy, and in the case of normal transmission, a lamp or the like will notify the operator. At this time, the operator calls again or switches to the file sending operation using the operation unit 8. When sending a file, calls are automatically repeated at regular intervals until the line is established.

In order to solve the above-mentioned conventional problems, an automatic dialing device, a storage device, a means for detecting the busy state of the called party, and a means for reading the original when the busy state is detected, and reading the original and transmitting the original information and the called party. A means for storing a telephone number in the storage device, and a means for counting a certain period of time after a busy call is detected are provided. This can be achieved by the facsimile device according to the invention.

[Operation] When the other party is busy, the original information is read and stored in the storage device together with the other party's telephone number, and after a certain period of time, the original information is redialed based on the other party's telephone number and the stored original information is transmitted. According to the present invention, the process always starts with a normal transmission operation, and only when a busy state is detected, document information is automatically stored in the storage device and file transmission begins. Therefore, the sender can operate without being aware of the other party's line status, and
This has the advantage of not bothering other users.
