Conventionally, decorative paper used for this type of purpose has been made by adding various colors and patterns to the surface of base paper made from pulp using dyes, pigments, printing inks, colored pastes, foamed synthetic resins, etc. Many of these decorative papers are printed or have various woven or knitted fabrics pasted onto the surface of the base paper, but all of these decorative papers are printed or pasted onto a flat paper surface. Because it is a single item, it lacks a sense of three-dimensionality, and the colors and patterns expressed on the paper are monotonous and flat, and the texture and feel are hard and cannot escape the frivolous feeling that is characteristic of paper products. ,
Also, in terms of durability, because it is based on paper pulp, it has weaknesses in mechanical strength such as elongation and tear resistance.

The present invention was developed to achieve the above object, and the method includes making paper using softwood pulp as the main raw material, and forming fine compression wrinkles in the direction of paper movement in the paper making process. We use a base paper that has been given the property that its elongation in the direction is larger than that in the transverse direction, and after impregnating it with synthetic resin, drying it and embossing it, we apply a heat setting process to create the uneven shape of the paper surface. The method is characterized in that the base paper is stabilized, then flocked by electrodepositing pile on the surface of the base paper with an adhesive interposed, and then cured and rapidly cooled.

In this example, white cement bag paper manufactured by Tokai Pulp Co., Ltd. was used as the bleached and compressed kraft paper. Bleached and compressed kraft paper is produced by making softwood pulp (single fiber length 2.0 to 3.1 mm) using the KP method (kraft pulp method), which is a chemical pulping method. )
It is manufactured by processing and drying. As shown in FIG. 4, the rubber blanket 5 passing over the nip roll 4 is
The outside of the rubber blanket 5 is compressed and stretched by the pressure of the nip roll 4 at the point where it comes into contact with the wet paper 6, and at the same time the wet paper 6 is strongly pressed against the surface of the dryer drum 7. At this time, the wet paper 6 is in close contact with one rubber blanket 5, but it slips on the other dryer drum 7 surface, and at the same time the rubber blanket 5 returns to its original size, the wet paper also expands and contracts, and the paper In this process, fine compression wrinkles are formed in the direction of paper travel.

Then, dry at a temperature of 80 to 100°C using a heating cylinder or the like. Base paper 1 subjected to the above treatment
Next, various embossed patterns 2 are formed on the paper surface as shown in the figure by means such as passing between vertically opposed heated rollers having concave and convex portions for pattern stamping, and then gas 300-350℃ with burner

After adhering, it was introduced into a curing furnace and
The material is heat-set at a temperature of ±5°C for approximately 3 minutes, passed through a water-cooled cylinder, cooled to room temperature, and then wound onto rollers as a product.

As described above, if the method of the present invention is applied to the production of industrial decorative paper, the main base paper will be made of needle pulp as the main raw material, and the paper will be processed in the longitudinal direction of the paper, which is the direction in which the paper travels in the manufacturing process. Compression wrinkles are formed that give the paper a property where the elongation is larger than in the lateral direction, so even if deep embossing is performed during the manufacturing process where tension is applied in the direction of travel, the paper fibers will not be destroyed. Coupled with the heat-setting process that impregnates the base paper with synthetic sap before embossing, the decorative paper not only has excellent mechanical strength against elongation and tearing, but also has a sharp texture with sharp irregularities on the paper surface. An embossed pattern can be formed. In addition, the uneven surface of the base paper is treated with a flocking process in which various cut piles are electrodeposited and flocked using electrostatic coating. Unlike conventional paper, it is now possible to produce a completely unique decorative paper that has a three-dimensional uneven surface with remarkable variations and a very soft feel and shading. Excellent water resistance and shape stability are imparted through synthetic resin processing and heat setting processing performed before and after processing and flocking, so it does not easily change in quality or lose its shape. Since it can maintain its beautiful shape and quality semi-permanently, it can be used for the exterior and lining of cosmetic boxes for precious metal utensils and various gifts, craft paper for paper crafts, and the cover of books. Coupled with the fact that the manufacturing cost is relatively low, it provides the optimum practical effect.
