び排気弁駆動用の動弁機構を覆うヘツドカバーを
被嵌するとともに、このヘツドカバー、シリンダ
ヘツドおよびシリンダの上方を他のカバーで覆つ
た4サイクル内燃機関であつて、 上記吸気弁によつて開閉される吸気通路と、排
気弁によつて開閉される排気通路を、上記クラン
ク軸とは交差する横方向に沿つて互いに逆向きに
導出させるとともに、排気口を吸気口の下方に位
置させ上記排気弁にて開閉される排気通路の上方
に点火プラグを配置し、この点火プラグをシリン
ダヘツドの横方向に導出させたことを特徴とする
クランク軸縦置き型4サイクル内燃機関。
