ける用紙10を読取可能な位置にフイードし、認
識部22により文字11の読み取りと認識をおこ
なう。(この時、文字の切り出しを行なう必要が
あるが本発明の主旨ではないので省略するが例え
ば特願昭54−42070号等を参照。)この場合、認識
部22にフイード機能を持たせてもよい。読み取
つた文字を認識部22で認識して「請求書」であ
ることが判明すると、この情報を制御部21に送
る。制御部21は認識部22の情報に基づいて用
紙のフオーマツト情報を得ることが出来る。すな
わちこの用紙の種類(例えば請求書)および次に
読みとるべき情報の種類(例えば名前)、出力す
べき位置等の情報を得る。これらの情報はあらか
じめ制御部21のメモリ内に準備しておく。い
ま、文字11を読みこの結果から、制御部21は
次の読取り位置迄用紙10をフイードすると認識
部22に読み取り開始の制御信号を発し名前を表
わす文字12として例えば「山田太郎」を得る。
制御部21は文字11と文字12の情報を検索部
23に与えて出力データの検索を行なう。一方、
制御部21はさらに用紙をフイードして検索した
情報をプリントすべ位置と項目の情報を得るため
に読み取りを行ない、「品名」なる文字13、「価
格」なる文字14、「数量」なる文字15を読み、
それ以後の空欄16に検索部23による検索結果
をプリントアウトするように用紙をフイードし
て、出力部25によつて検索部23の出力データ
をプリントアウトする。読み取る用紙と、プリン
トアウトする用紙が同一でない場合でも読み取つ
た情報に基づいて印字位置の制御を同じように行
なえることは言うまでもない。

情報に基づいて上記空欄に印字すべき情報が上記
空欄内に納まるように所望の演算処理を行なつて
上記印字すべき情報を上記空欄に印字することを
