本発明は複写機のヒートローラ方式の定着装置

(従来の技術)
従来のヒートローラ方式の定着装置は、第1図
に示すように、二つの支持フレーム1,1′間に
軸受2,2′を用いて回転可能に取付けたヒート
ローラ3と、該ローラ3と対に設けたプレツシヤ
ーローラ4とで構成し、第2図に示すように感光
体5の転写部6から機外の排紙トレイ7に至る用
紙の搬送路の適所に配置し、プラテンガラス8上
に載置した原稿9の光像を光学装置で感光体5の
表面に露光し、その像を現像機10で現像したの
ち、当該感光体5の転写部6で、給紙部11から
給紙されたコピー用紙上に転写し、トランスポー
ト12によつて搬送されて来るのを待期し、当該
コピー用紙が前記ヒートローラ3とプレツシヤー
ローラ4との間を通過する際に所定の熱エネルギ
ーと圧力とを加えることによつて像定着を行なう
ように構成されていた。そして当該定着装置に使
用するヒートローラ3は、通常第3図に示すよう
に、その内側に配置するヒータ13の両端部を、
支持フレーム1,1′の外側に略L字状の支持部
材14,14′を用いて固定することによつて、
その内側に配置した箔部15がヒートローラ3内
に挿入された形で配置されるので、ヒーター13
の発熱を直に受けてこの部分の温度の上昇が高
く、そのために該箔部15の酸化を速めて、ヒー
ター13自体の寿命を極めて短かいものにしてし
まつたり、或いは前記ヒーターの両端部に接続す
るリード線16には極めて耐熱性の高いものを使
用しなければならず、その分、線16自体が高価
なものについてしまうといつた欠点がある他に、
第4図に示すように、ヒートローラ3内に配置し
たヒーター13の発熱を装置外に逃がさないよう
に、ヒートローラ3の両端の支持フレーム1,
1′の外側に断熱キヤツプ又は遮蔽板等17を配
置して、前記箔部15並びにリード線16の接点
近傍を当該断熱キヤツプ等17内に収納するよう
にすると前記ヒータ13の両端部の温度上昇は更
に温まり、これに伴なつて箔部15の酸化は更に
増進してヒーター13の寿命を更に短かいものに
してしまうばかりか、リード線16には更に耐熱
性に優れた値段の高いものを使用しなければなら

ものを使用できるようにして装置自体の信頼性の
向上をはかつた複写機の定着装置を提供すること

ヒーター13の発熱による温度上昇を最低限にお

の度合いを小さくし、その分だけヒーター13自
体の寿命を長期化を可能にするとともに、該ヒー
ターの両端部に接続するリード線16も高度の耐
熱性を要求しないでも済むという利点があり、従
