挿入口85から基板9の接続端部を挿入し、その
パターン回路と各コンタクト片83a,83bの
接触により基板2と基板9との電気的接続が得ら

〈発明が解決しようとする問題点〉 一方基板9を基板2の下面側から接続させる場
合は、カードエツジコネクタ8自体を基板の下面

しなければならない。この場合カードエツジコネ
クタ8の端子84が他の実装部品が実装された
面、すなわち基板の上面に突出するので、他の実
装部品とともにデツピング槽を通過させることが
出来ない。その為カードエツジコネクタ8のみを
後付けし、手作業によつて端子84を基板2にハ
ンダ付けしなければならず、量産化及び実装の自
動化を妨げる原因となつている。

向に貫通させた状態に装着孔12が形成されてい

挿入口14が形成され、両者は上記装着孔12を
介して上下方向に連通した状態となつている。又
装着孔12にはコンタクト片15a,15bを一
対とするコンタクト15が複数配列されている。
コンタクト片15a,15bはリン青銅等のバネ
性に富む導電材が用いられ、コンタクト片15
a,15bの一部を装着孔12内方向に折曲して
所定の接点圧を有する1つのコンタクト部15c
を形成する。又ハウジング11の下面11bには
上記コンタクト片15a,15bに接続する端子
16,16が突設されている。両端子16,16
は、下部挿入口14から装着される基板のパター
ン回路に接触しないよう十分な間隔をもつて突設
されている。

又カードエツジ53に対しても基板2Cに実装さ
れたカードエツジコネクタ1の上部挿入口13を
挿入する。前記同様のカードエツジ53は十分な
長さを有する為、基板2Cに実装されたカードエ
ツジコネクタ1を貫通してその先端が基板2Dの
カードエツジコネクタ1に挿入される。すると第
5図のY−Y線矢視断面概略図である第6図に示
す様に、接続基板5に対して各基板2A,2B,
2C,2Dは多段状に接続される。しかもパター
ン回路52,53を長くすることによつて、接続
する基板の数を適宜増減させることが可能であ
る。

もに、下部のカードエツジ72を基板2Eに実装
したカードエツジコネクタ1の上部挿入口13に
挿入する。すると第8図の側面図で示す如く、各
基板2A〜2Fを多段状で且つ複合的に接続でき
る。

〈発明の効果〉 以上の如く本発明のカードエツジコネクタはハ
ウジングの上面に設けた上部挿入口と下面に設け
た下部挿入口とを内部の装着孔を介して連通させ
たため、当該カードエツジコネクタを実装した基
板の上下両面からカードエツジを接続させること
ができる。よつてカードエツジコネクタを実装し
た基板を多段状に接続できる等、基板の取付けを
多面に展開することが可能となる。又本コネクタ
は他の実装部品とともにデツプソルダリングを行
なうことが出来るので、ハンダ付施工が簡略化さ
れる結果施工コストを大幅に低減させる。よつて
量産化、自動化にも好適なものとなる。

面に突設したものであつて、 前記ハウジングの下面には前記装着孔を介して
上部挿入口に連通する下部挿入口を形成し、上部
挿入口若しくは下部挿入口の何れか一方から挿入
した基板のパターン回路を上記コンタクトに接続
させることを特徴とするカードエツジコネクタ。
