Conventionally, when filling concave parts such as chips and knotholes existing on the surface of plywood with a filler such as putty to perform local repairs, a relatively strong filling material such as the one shown in Fig. 1 has been used. A method is employed in which a spatula-shaped filling member 4 is used to press a lump of the filler 3 into the recess 2 of the plywood 1, and to press-fit the filler 3 into the recess 2 by squeezing.

According to such a method, since the filler hardly adheres to any part other than the recess, the cost required for filling is kept to the minimum necessary level, but on the other hand, the filler filled in the recess is a spreader/diluent. As the material evaporates, it becomes thinner, and as shown in Figure 2, some parts may become depressed and harden, which may cause various problems in subsequent secondary processing steps. There were some drawbacks.

For this reason, the practice is to wait for the filler to harden, inspect for wear, and, if necessary, refill the hollowed areas with the filler in the same manner as above to level the surface. However, it is extremely inefficient and has low productivity, which is a negative factor that hinders the rationalization of repair processes in plywood factories.

Therefore, in order to avoid the above-mentioned problem, a method was tried in which a spatula-shaped filling member 5 with a collar 5a was used to fill the filling material 3 with some extra amount, as shown in FIG. 3, for example. In this case, as is clear from the figure, a considerable amount of the filler adheres to areas other than the recesses, which not only causes the inconvenience of significantly increasing the cost of filling, but also reduces the amount of excess material left after curing. As is clear from Fig. 4, the filler adhered to the parts, especially the parts other than the recesses, is firmly connected not only to the surface of the plywood but also to the filler filled in the recesses, so it is difficult to remove it by sanding etc. It is difficult to remove by any means, and removal requires a great deal of effort and expense, making it somewhat unsuitable for practical use.

The present invention was developed to eliminate the drawbacks of the conventional methods and experimental methods, and by press-fitting the filler into the recess in a very special form, the present invention minimizes the increase in costs required for filling and removal. , eliminating the need for refilling when the filling material wears out,
The aim is to streamline the repair process at plywood factories.

That is, the method of press-fitting a filler according to the present invention uses an appropriate press-fitting means, such as pressing the filler 3 with a spatula-shaped filling member 4, as illustrated in FIG. After press-fitting the filler 3 into the recess 2 of the plywood 1 through the plate 6 having a large number of small holes 6a, by peeling off the plate 6, at least the surface portion of the recess 2 is filled. , a large number of small protrusions 3a formed by the filler 3 remain, and then, as illustrated in FIG. 6, after the filler 3 has hardened, the excess portion is removed by an appropriate removal means (not shown) such as sanding, It is designed to flatten the surface.

According to such a method, the filling material filled into the recess is reliably filled into the entire recess as it is press-fitted, and firmly adheres to the plywood, so that it is easy to remove the excess portion after curing. Not only will it not be missing, but even if it wears off due to the volatilization of extenders and diluents, the many small protrusions formed on the surface will remain even after flattening, so it will not be damaged like the conventional method. Although refilling is unnecessary and there are some gaps between the small protrusions, there is no practical problem due to the characteristics of local repair, and the repair can be completed extremely effectively.

On the other hand, the filler filled into areas other than the recesses will eventually form small protrusions on the surface of the plywood, but since the small protrusions are also attached to the plate-like body, when the plate-like body is peeled off, It is relatively difficult to remain on the surface of the plywood, and even if all of it remains, after curing, it is only attached to the surface of the plywood or is slightly connected to the filler filled in the recesses. It is extremely easy to remove by sanding or other removal means, and it does not require a lot of effort and cost. It is only necessary to fill an amount of excess material to the extent that it remains, which is a relatively small amount of addition, so the cost required for filling does not increase significantly compared to the conventional method, and it is possible to perform filling at a low cost overall.

Incidentally, the plate-shaped body used in the press-fitting method according to the present invention is only a plate having an appropriate thickness and having a large number of small holes of an appropriate shape such as round, triangular, square, or oval, as illustrated in FIG. For example, even if it is a net-like plate-like material such as a wire mesh, it is possible to press-fit the filler into the recess of the plywood, and if it peels off, it will cause damage to at least the surface part of the recess. The plate-shaped body may have any shape as long as it has a shape that allows many small protrusions formed by the filler to remain, and the thickness of the plate-shaped body should be determined by taking into account the amount of loss of the filler. However, in any case, from the viewpoint of ease of press-fitting the filler into the recess and reliability of repair, it is preferable that the partition wall formed between each small hole be relatively narrow. If the thickness is approximately the same as or smaller than the thickness of many conduits existing on the surface of the plywood, it is extremely effective because there will be almost no difference between the repaired area and the unrepaired area. In addition, the filling material clogging the small holes may be removed with a brush, etc., as necessary. Furthermore, if necessary, at least the portion of the plate-shaped body that contacts the filling material may be covered with tetrafluoroethylene resin. It is also possible to reduce the adhesion of the filler by using a material with excellent mold releasability, such as the following.

In addition, it is most convenient to press-fit the filler using a spatula-shaped filling member, as exemplified in the above embodiment, but the invention is not limited thereto. It is also possible to press-fit using a member, and in short, any press-fitting means may be used as long as the filler can be press-fitted into the recess of the plywood through the plate-shaped body.

In addition, as a removal method for removing the excess portion after the filler has hardened, sanding is preferable compared to cutting with a knife, etc., because it can flatten the surface more stably. It is even more effective if the plywood is filled with plywood and removed by sanding to finish the surface of the plywood after curing, since a separate process for leveling is not required.

As is clear from the above, according to the press-fitting method according to the present invention, it is possible to carry out local repairs extremely effectively, and the repair process at a plywood factory can be rationalized. The effects of implementation in factories are extremely large.
