If this method is applied to pipes with different diameters, the pig will become clogged in the small diameter part of the pipe, making it impossible to perform the work. This problem can be solved by using, for example, a hollow balloon-shaped pig.
Although this can be solved to some extent by utilizing its deformability, this balloon method causes the problem that it is difficult to control the film thickness.

moves back through the pipe in order from the terminal end, and as shown in Figure 4, it finally returns to its initial appearance, moves back through the pipe, and is collected from the starting end of pipe a. Ready for next operation. During this pig element collection operation, the surfaces of coating films c 3 , c 2 and c 1 are re-modified by the pig elements passing through during collection, so
A coating film with good surface precision can be obtained.

In order to obtain such integral mobility, for example, as shown in FIG. 5, FIG. 6, and FIG. good. In this case, the engaging uneven parts 4 and 5 need to be separated in order from the larger diameter side when necessary in the pipe a, and therefore it is preferable that the engagement force is weaker as the larger diameter side increases. For example, even if there is no difference in strength, there is no particular problem because the pressure receiving area becomes larger as the diameter increases. The magnitude of the engagement force of the engagement uneven portions 4 and 5 is determined by appropriately selecting the engagement depth and/or the engagement length.

1, 12, and 13 have a shape substantially close to a sphere, there is a risk that the directions may change during movement within the pipe a. As shown in the figure, it is preferable to arrange two of each element in series so that the center axis thereof always maintains a parallel relationship with the tube axis.
