Pillows as bedding play an important role in restful sleep and recovery from fatigue. However, it has been found that even when using conventional pillows, there is a problem in that it is not possible to maintain a restful sleep state and to sufficiently recover from fatigue.

As a result of intensive study of this problem, the inventors of the present invention found that conventional pillows do not fully exhibit their pillow functions for the reasons described below.

That is, conventional pillows use natural materials such as buckwheat, azuki beans, beans, and rice husks as filling materials, or artificial materials such as cotton, cloth, sponge, and small pieces of synthetic resin.

Therefore, this type of filling does not deform freely due to the pressing force when the head is placed on a pillow, so it does not deform to the shape of the pressing body such as the shape of the head, and as a result, The area of contact between the pillow and the pressing object such as the head becomes smaller, resulting in a situation where the pillow and the head are in contact with each other in an unstable manner, and the way the head is placed, which prevents a good night's sleep and contributes to recovery from fatigue. I found out that it is not possible.

In order to have a good night's sleep and a healthy sleeping state, it is necessary to sleep with a cold head and warm feet, that is, to keep your head warm and your feet warm. However, from this point of view as well, conventional pillow fillings heat up easily and do not cool easily. Therefore, the pillow becomes heated due to the temperature and body temperature. This is due to the properties of the filling itself in conventional pillows, and the fact that there are no gaps between the fillings, and the gaps form a complicated maze, which reduces the breathability and air inside the pillow. The fact that the ventilation is extremely low works synergistically with the structure of the pillow described above, making it easy to heat up and hard to cool down.

On the other hand, it has been proposed to use wood such as paulownia wood or kilk as a stuffing element for rugs such as pillows (for example, Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 41-24765 and Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 2-1884).

However, the main purpose of these known techniques is to use wood as a cushion material for rugs, or to cover the wood with scent-containing chemicals to prevent bad odors. It does not have sufficient sliding properties and porosity, which are important functions required as a filling element.

However, this known technology utilizes wooden beads for the purpose of creating a gap between the user's back and the cushion outer fabric and for the purpose of providing a cooling sensation, and uses wooden beads as a filling element for the rug. It is not for use.

Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a new rug that solves the problems of conventional rugs such as pillows, and improves the sliding properties and porosity of the padding elements of the rug, thereby improving breathability and ventilation. It is an object of the present invention to provide a novel rug that has excellent properties and can be freely deformed according to the shape of a pressing body and its pressing force distribution.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 5, the pillow of the present invention includes:
A large number of stuffing elements 2 are housed in a cloth bag 3. The stuffing element 2 of the pillow has the shape of a cylinder with a diameter of 1 cm and a length of 2 cm, the corners of which are chamfered to form a rounded shape, and is made of wood. The filling element 2 actively utilizes the properties of wood, and is particularly characterized by being difficult to heat up and cooling easily, being lightweight, emitting a pleasant wood scent, and drying quickly. It is difficult to absorb sweat from the human body and moisture from the outside air compared to the conventional pillow fillings mentioned above, and it also quickly evaporates absorbed moisture and maintains its original state, and has good moldability. Pillow stuffing elements are easy to make, and since the wood itself is small, it can be made from tree branches and small pieces, so the material cost is low, and it can be manufactured at low cost. It has various excellent properties.

The shape and size of the stuffing element 2 are determined based on the conditions under which it can fully perform its function as a pillow. A preferred filling element 2 is a cylinder with a diameter of 1 cm and a length of 2 cm, the corners of which are chamfered, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5. This is because the gap 4 formed between adjacent filling elements 2 becomes larger as shown in FIG.
The pillow has excellent ventilation and air permeability in that the air in the void 4 can be easily released to the outside of the pillow and replaced with fresh air.

In addition, since the chamfering of this embodiment improves the sliding properties of the filling element, the sliding properties of the many filling elements are improved, so that the filling element can resist the pressing force of, for example, the head and neck of the user. It is possible to obtain the function of being able to deform smoothly and quickly and freely along the pressed shape.

Another embodiment of the filling element may be one in which the corners of a cylinder having a diameter of 1 cm and a length of 2 cm are slightly chamfered as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7.

In order to improve air permeability, ventilation, quick drying properties, and weight reduction, the filling element can be hollow and can also be shaped like a pipe. This is applicable to all filling elements mentioned above.

The stuffing element can be manufactured by molding a log using a sawmill. After primary processing into a long rod shape like a pencil,
Filling elements can be manufactured using various manufacturing methods, such as cutting it as a secondary process and chamfering the corners of the cut pieces to improve sliding properties between the filling elements.

The usage of the pillow is as shown in Figure 8.
Place the head 7 on the pillow 1 placed on the mattress, and also place the nape of the neck 8 on the pillow. As a result, head 7
Since the pillow deforms along the shape of the nape of the neck and the nape of the neck 8, it maintains an extremely stable shape. As shown in Figure 3, the stuffing elements overlap in various directions within the cloth bag, and each stuffing element also forms a sufficient void, and the chamfers of the stuffing elements Because the sliding properties of the filling elements are improved, each filling element moves easily depending on the pressure distribution of the pressing body such as the head or nape of the neck, and deforms according to the shape of the pressing body. and maintain its deformed shape.

Even if you change the direction of your head, lie on your side, or turn over, the stuffing element will quickly deform according to the pressing force and shape of your head, that is, the pressing body, and will maintain a shape that matches the shape of the pressing surface of the pressing body. This is the shape of the pressed surface of the pillow. In conventional pillows, the shape of the pressed surface of the pillow did not match the shape of the pressing surface of the pressing body, so the function as a pillow was not sufficient. In particular, the pillow of the present invention has the above-mentioned effects, so it stably supports not only the head but also the nape of the neck. Therefore, when using a conventional pillow, even if the pillow is placed up to the nape of the neck, the head comes into contact with the pillow even though it protrudes more than the nape of the neck, so there is a gap between the head and shoulders. Since there is no part that comes into contact with the pillow, the pillow has a bridge shape with the head and shoulders as supporting points, which hinders a good night's sleep and recovery from fatigue. Unhealthy conditions due to such reasons are eliminated by using the pillow of the present invention. The pillow of the present invention that exhibits such unique effects is a pillow that has extremely good characteristics.

As explained above, according to the present invention, the corners of the stuffing elements of the rug are chamfered to improve the slidability and void properties between the stuffing elements, so that the rug has excellent breathability and ventilation. In addition, it is possible to freely deform the shape of the pressing body and the distribution of its pressing force, making it possible to obtain a rug that has excellent functionality as a rug and is extremely comfortable to use.

Of course, since the filling element of the rug of the present invention is made of wood, as mentioned above, the rug does not get warm easily and easily cools down, and it is lightweight.
