することにより、又は上部気密栓10は開放し下
部気密栓7から圧気を行い下部気密室8の気圧を
水面差/−気圧上げることによりウキ外部水面1

体を排除したのと同様となりコツプ内部を幹4B
の重さは浮力に影響するが、支持枠1の上部等が
コツプ内を占有することなく関係なく浮力が発生
する。なお、コツプ外周容量4Aが液体5より多
い場合は、液体を含んだ器具全体の重量より浮力
の方が大きい効率的なウキとなる。又、浮力は重
力の差し引きで発生し、ウキ全体4A,4Bを含
めた浮力の垂線は幾何学上ヒンジ6Aを必ず通過
するので鉛直標示部6は必ず鉛直となる。その場
合、支持枠1上部液体容器2は必ずしも鉛直に保
持する必要はなく、液体の存在する余裕巾5でウ
キと容器が接触しない程度に概略、手等で保持す
れば鉛直標示部6は誤差なく鉛直となる。なお、
上部栓10を開放する場合は上部気密室11はな
くてもよく、形状は自由である。下部栓7を開放
する場合は、下部気密室8はなくてもよく、支持
枠1の形状は自由で透明容器とする必要はなく棒
