Electrostatic coating technology has been known for a long time, in which powder paint (also called fine particles or powder) is charged and the powder is electrostatically attached to the object to be coated. A uniform painted surface is obtained,
This method is highly valued as it has the advantage of being suitable for mass production, and the present invention aims to further improve the coating efficiency in this type of device.

In other words, the electrostatic powder coating apparatus of the present invention includes a fluidized tank equipped with a perforated plate and a side wall at the bottom of a case in which charged powder is sprayed or descended from above, and excess powder is disposed of on the outside of the side wall. A collecting section is provided to collect the powder, the powder is received in the fluidized tank, is fluidized, and the powder is sprayed or lowered onto the object to be coated located above the fluidized tank, and the powder is fluidized and suspended from the fluidized tank. This system is designed to attach both powders by spraying or dropping the charged powder onto the object to be coated, and also removes the powder that has accumulated in the fluidized tank without being attached to the object to be coated. It is devised to allow the paint to flow and float around the object to be coated, and to have multiple opportunities for it to adhere to the object, allowing quick and uniform coating.

A chamber 2 is set inside a case 1 in which flanges of an upper case 1a and a lower case 1b are removably joined, and is partitioned to prevent paint powders P 1 and P 2 from leaking outside. Powder is applied downward to the center of the top plate of the upper case 1a in the width direction.
An electrostatic spray gun 3 for spraying P 1 is attached, and this electrostatic spray gun 3 is equipped with a function of pre-charging the powder P 1 to be blown out. A bottom wall and side walls 5, 5 are attached to the lower case 1b.
A fluidization tank 4 is provided, the bottom wall of which is constituted by a perforated plate 6, and gutter-shaped collection tanks 7, 7 for collecting excess powder are provided on the outside of the side walls 5, 5. In the fluidized tank 4, uncharged powder P2 is deposited and accommodated up to the same height as the side walls 5, 5. The object W to be coated is placed between the electrostatic spray gun 3 and the fluidized tank 4, and if it is a long steel pipe, for example, it is moved in the longitudinal direction with both ends supported by support devices (not shown).

When charged powder P1 is sprayed from the electrostatic spray gun 3, a part of it sticks to the object W to be coated, but the remaining powder P1 passes through both sides of the object W to be coated and enters the fluidization tank 4. It accumulates on top of the deposited powder P2 . Dry air is constantly blown into the fluidized tank 4 from below, and the strength of this blowing is set to such an extent that all the powder deposited in the fluidized tank 4 is always maintained at the same height level as the side walls 5. Powder P 1 accumulated in the fluidized tank 4 due to spraying and powder P 2 that had been accumulated in the fluidized tank 4 from the beginning fly up around the object W to be coated in a mixed state, and the former powder A part of P 1 adheres to the object W to be painted. Powder particles P 1 and P 2 protruding from this turbulent floating area formed around the object W to be coated are collected in collection tanks 7 and 7 according to gravity, and are further transferred to an electrostatic spray gun 3 by a circulation system (not shown). will be returned to. Even when the fixed electrostatic spray gun 3 is used in this way, the coating device not only sprays the powder P 1 unilaterally but also floats the powders P 1 and P 2 around the object W to be coated. With this configuration, uniform coating can be quickly applied to the entire surface of the object W to be coated. In addition, since a fixed amount of powder is always deposited in the fluidization tank 4, the powder P 1 and P 2 floating around the object W to be coated can be quantified, and a coating film with the same thickness is always formed. be able to.

As explained above, the electrostatic powder coating device of the present invention is provided with a fluidized tank equipped with a perforated plate and a side wall at the bottom of the case in which charged powder is sprayed or descended from above, and an excess is provided on the outside of the side wall. A recovery section for collecting powder is provided, the powder is accumulated and accommodated in the fluidized tank up to the same height as the side wall, the powder is received in the fluidized tank and is made to flow, and the powder is flowed above the fluidized tank. The object to be coated can be coated efficiently by configuring the structure so that both the powder sprayed or dropped and the powder flowing from the fluidization tank adhere to the object to be coated. This can provide excellent advantages when the material is long or has a complicated shape.
