For example, an example of a device that accepts and supplies paper sheets such as banknotes is disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 56-33757. Conventionally, in this type of device, after paper sheets are deposited on a separator, which is a receiving means, when the paper sheets are stored in a container, the separator descends and tilts when it reaches the lower limit position, and the separator once retreats. Then, when the sheet is further inclined, the sheet is pressed down by the load applying means. After that, the separator was evacuated. In this storage method, when the separator is lowered to the lowest position and tilted, the top surface of the separator tip is almost at the bottom plate of the storage container, so the wedge-shaped space formed by the feed roller and gate roller that are the separation means The paper sheets on the separator flow into the separator. After that, even if the load applying means presses the paper sheets, when the separator is retracted and the storage is completed, the paper sheets accumulated on the separator, especially the upper paper sheets, will advance into the wedge-shaped space of the separation part. This will cause problems when entering.

The present invention has been made based on the above-mentioned problem, and when the upper surface of the tip of the separator falls to the entrance height of the wedge-shaped space formed by the separation means consisting of the gate roller and the feed roller and is inclined, the load applying means is applied. Thus, the paper sheets are held down to prevent the paper sheets from flowing into the wedge-shaped space formed by the separating means even if the top surface of the tip drops to the bottom plate when the separator is retracted. This is what I did.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 7. First, in FIG. 1, stored banknotes are held between conveyor belts 1 and 2 and conveyed one by one onto a separator 6 on a storage container 5. The transported banknotes are transferred to the stack rollers 3A, 3 on the shaft.
The tip is sent to the stopper 4 position by B. Next, a method for storing banknotes accumulated on the separator 6 into the storage container 5 will be explained with reference to FIGS. 2 to 7. FIG. 2 shows a state in which banknotes are conveyed and deposited on the separator 6. FIG. 3 shows a state in which the separator 6 is lowered by the separator moving means and the position detecting means 7 is in contact with the bottom plate 8. FIG. 4 shows a state in which the separator 6 is further lowered and the position detection means 7 is actuated to disengage the pin 9 and latch 10 which stop the rotation of the separator 6, so that the separator 6 is tilted. In this state, the guide roller 11 attached to the bottom of the tip of the separator 6
is in contact with the bottom plate 8 and the feeding roller 16, so
The tip of the separator 6 is separated from the bottom plate 8, and the tip of the separator 6 is connected to the gate roller 1, which is a partial means.
3 and the feed roller 14. Therefore, the banknotes 12 accumulated on the separator 6 stop against the guide surface 17 of the storage container and do not flow into the wedge-shaped space 15. FIG. 5 shows a state in which the load applying means 18 pushes the stacked banknotes 12 in the state shown in FIG. As shown in FIG. 1, the load applying means 18 is stored in the separation side space of the storage container 5 in the stored state, and when the banknote is stored, the arm 20 rotates and comes out into the storage container. The load applying means 18 is then lowered by the moving motor 21 together with the cylinder 22 guided by the bar 19. Next, FIG. 6 shows a state in which the separator 6 has begun to retreat. The means for moving the separator 6 begins to rise, and the tip of the separator 6 approaches the bottom plate 8 and is at its lowest position.

によつて分離され放出される。 In this state, the tip of the bill faces the wedge-shaped space 15, but the bill 12 does not flow into the wedge-shaped space 15 because the load applying means 18 presses the bill 12. FIG. 7 shows a state in which the separator 6 is completely retracted and raised. The banknotes 12 are stored with their tips substantially aligned with the guide surface 17. The separator 6 rises to the upper normal position and returns to the horizontal position, returning to the state shown in FIG. Thereafter, the stored banknotes 12 are transferred to the feeding roller 1 as necessary.

According to the present invention, the paper sheets can be stored with their leading ends aligned with the separation-side guide surface of the storage container, which has the effect of improving separation performance. The effect is particularly noticeable when there are no banknotes already stored and only a small number of banknotes to be stored.
