``Prior Art'' and ``Problems to be Solved by the Invention'' Conventionally, terminal fittings with fuses whose fusing parts are made of high-melting point metals such as steel alloys are disclosed in Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 139773/1983 and Utility Model Laid-Open No. 57-1999. There are known examples such as Publication No. 124981.
However, all of these known examples are for large capacity fuses; for example, for small capacity fuses of 10 amperes or less, if a high melting point material is used, the fused part will have an extremely small cross-sectional area. Due to the lack of strength, deformation cannot be avoided, making it impractical.

Therefore, conventional terminal fittings with small-capacity fuses are made entirely of low-melting point materials, and are covered by means such as enlarging the cross section of the fused portion or shortening the length of the fused portion. It had been. According to the above-mentioned conventional means, the material of the terminal fitting itself is limited to materials suitable for the fusing part, which reduces the degree of freedom in material selection, and inevitably limits the shape and structure of the connecting part of the terminal fitting. A problem arose.

"Means for Solving the Problems" The present invention achieves the above objects by: Cutting out a plate material to form electrical connection parts at both ends of the plate body part, and having two electrical connection parts in the plate body part. A terminal metal element is formed by providing a fusing part formed at the inner edge of the window and a pair of reinforcing parts formed at the outer edge of the window; Embed the terminal metal body in the resin body, leaving only the middle part of the reinforcing part and the electrical connection part at both ends or the electrical connection part on one side thereof, and then insert each of the pair of exposed reinforcing parts. This method consists of forming a terminal fitting with a fuse in which the intermediate portion of the fuse is cut and removed, and the electrical connection portions at both ends are mutually conductive through a resin-embedded fusing portion.

"Function" According to the above-described molding method of the present invention, reinforcing parts are provided in advance on the left and right sides of the fused part, the fused part is embedded with a resin mold leaving the reinforcing parts, and then the reinforcing parts are cut and removed and molded. Therefore, even in the case of small-capacity fuses where the required cross-sectional area of the fused part is extremely small, the fused part is sufficiently protected during molding and during use, and the fused part can be molded without deformation or abnormality, and in good condition. It becomes possible to use it stably.

"Example" A detailed explanation will be given below with reference to an example. In FIGS. 1 and 2 showing an example thereof, first, the terminal fitting shown in FIG. 1(A) is formed from a high melting point metal plate material suitable for the terminal fitting, such as a steel alloy. That is, the high melting point plate material is punched and formed by press working,
A plate-shaped electrical connection part 1A is formed at one end of the plate-shaped body part 2, and an electrical connection part 1B having a U-shaped crimp piece is formed at the other end. A fusing part 3 having a pair of rectangular windows 5A5B symmetrical about the axis 7 penetrated therethrough and formed by the inner edge of the window 5A5B and located on the vertical axis 7;
A terminal metal fitting body is formed having a band-shaped reinforcing portion 4A4B formed by the outer edge of the window portion 5A5B and connecting between the electrical connection portions 1A1B. The fusing portion 3 is formed to have a cross-sectional area that satisfies the fuse capacity required for the terminal fitting, and the reinforcing portion 4A4B is formed to have a width that has sufficient mechanical strength to protect the fusing portion 3.

Next, as shown in FIG. 1(B), the body part 2 of the above-mentioned terminal metal body is molded with resin and embedded, leaving only the electrical connection part 1A1B and the reinforcing part 4A 4B.
That is, the trunk portion 2 is embedded in the resin body 8 having a through hole 6A6B that exposes the intermediate portion of the reinforcing portion 4A4B.

According to the above-described molding method of the present invention, a pair of reinforcing parts 4A4B are provided in advance on both sides of the fusing part 3, and the body part 2 including the fusing part 3 is embedded with the resin body 8, leaving the reinforcing parts 4A4B. Reinforcement part 4A4B
Since the fused portion 3 is formed by cutting and removing it, the fused portion 3 is mechanically sufficiently protected both during molding and during use, thereby preventing its deformation or abnormality from occurring. Even in the case of a small-capacity fuse where the cross-sectional area of the fusing part 3 is extremely small, it is possible to mold the terminal fitting with the fuse from a high-melting point metal and exhibit good electrical performance, and the fusing part 3 is It is embedded in the resin body 8 and is protected from the usage environment such as temperature and atmosphere.

Next, FIGS. 3 and 4 show another embodiment of a terminal fitting with a fuse made by the molding method of the present invention, and the one in FIG.
The example shown in FIG. 4 has a female electrical connection part 1A1B with a curled part at both ends of the fuselage section 3 embedded in the body, and is entirely molded from a spring material. This embodiment has a male electrical connection part 1A1B, and a fusing part 3 is embedded in a transparent resin body 8, so that the fusing state of the fusing part 3 can be checked externally. That is, according to the molding method of the present invention, the shape and structure of the electrical connection part 1A1B can be freely molded using a high melting point material suitable for the connection part.
