Conventional electrostatic coating equipment continuously conveys a steel plate, aluminum plate, copper plate, etc. formed into a strip and electrostatically applies a surface treatment agent such as anti-corrosion oil to both sides of the strip. There is a type in which an electrostatic applicator is installed in the chamber through which the strip-shaped plate is passed from both upper and lower sides (see Utility Model Application Publication No. 1983-5854), and a chamber in which the strip-shaped plate is passed vertically. A type in which electrostatic coating machines are installed inside the band-shaped plate body from both the left and right sides (Utility Model 61-
(Refer to Publication No. 40158).

However, in the former type, the droplets of surface treatment agent that are electrostatically atomized from an electrostatic applicator installed opposite to the top surface of the strip plate and adhere to the surface of the strip plate pass directly below. There was an unavoidable problem that the product would drip onto the body surface, resulting in poor application.

In addition, in the latter type, the surface of the electrostatic coating machine installed opposite to both the left and right sides of the strip plate, the high voltage cable connected to the electrostatic coating machine, the surface of the treatment agent supply hose, etc. Due to the influence of high pressure, droplets of the surface treatment agent falling parallel to the surface of the strip become coarse particles and are adsorbed onto the surface of the strip, resulting in poor coating. For this reason, in the latter type, a cylindrical cover is placed over the electrostatic applicator and piping such as cables and hoses to prevent the surface treatment agent from adhering to it, and also to prevent the surface treatment agent from adhering to the surface. It was troublesome to have to install an inclined plate to collect the droplets of the processing agent.

To achieve this object, the present invention provides an electrostatic coating device that applies a surface treatment agent to both sides of a continuously conveyed strip, in which a strip that is conveyed in one direction is placed in a first chamber. A conveying line is formed such that the conveying line passes horizontally through a second chamber, then turns in the opposite direction and horizontally passes through a second chamber, and the conveying line is formed in each of the chambers. It is characterized in that an electrostatic coating machine is installed opposite the lower surface of the strip-shaped plate.

According to the present invention, first, a surface treatment agent is applied to one side of a strip plate by an electrostatic coating machine installed in a first chamber, and then a surface treatment agent is applied to one side of a strip plate by an electrostatic coating machine installed in a second chamber. The surface treatment agent is also applied to the other side of the belt-like plate by the machine, so that the surface-treating agent is applied to both sides of the belt-like plate.
