Configuration of conventional example and its problems In the conventional steam iron, as shown in the cross section of the main part in Fig. 1, the heater 1 is buried and the vaporizing chamber 2 is installed.
A drip nozzle 9 is provided on a base 6, which has a steam distribution chamber 4 in which a steam outlet 3 is located, and a base lid 5 is fixed thereto, through gaskets 7 and 8. The water supply to the vaporization chamber 2 was adjusted by the following. The water droplets supplied to the vaporization chamber 2 instantly turn into steam, which is sent directly from a part of the vaporization chamber 2 to the steam distribution chamber 4 as shown by the arrow, and is generally discharged from the steam outlet 3. It was hot. However, in this configuration, there is a condition that the relationship between the hole diameter of the drip nozzle 9 and the vaporization capacity of the vaporization chamber 2 must be sufficiently controlled, and if a drop exceeding a predetermined amount occurs, it will overflow from the vaporization chamber 2. There was a problem that if water droplets overflowed, they would spill directly from the steam outlet 3 and stain the fibers. In order to solve this problem, it is a prerequisite to improve the vaporization ability, and it is necessary to devise ways to increase the vaporization chamber volume and surface area. However, in order to accurately detect the temperature of the hanging surface, the base 6 is generally equipped with a thermostat located approximately in the center, separating it from the outer wall of the vaporization chamber while maintaining an insulating distance, making it easy to enlarge the vaporization chamber 2. I couldn't even do it. Therefore, measures have been proposed to increase the surface area by providing labyrinths and weirs within the vaporization chamber.

However, even if this measure is expected to be effective in terms of vaporization capacity, after many years of use, hard substances contained in the water will remain when it vaporizes, and conversely accumulate in narrow labyrinths and weirs. There was a drawback that it would close and the steam iron would lose its function.

In order to solve the above-mentioned drawbacks, in recent years there have been proposals to forcibly send a certain amount of water into the vaporization chamber 2 using a pump device, and to use the explosive force of instantaneous vaporization to cause the residue to flow out from the steam outlet 3. After all, the disadvantages of mazes and weirs were unavoidable.

It is also known that this instantaneously vaporized explosive steam jet power is effective in smoothing out stubborn wrinkles during ironing. The root cause of this explosive vaporization is that the position of the drip nozzle for normal steam generation in the vaporization chamber and the position where steam is forcibly fed by the pump are separated by a wall, and the temperature in the vaporization chamber where the latter is located is This is due to the prevention of descent and the increased surface area for vaporization when passing through narrow mazes.

Purpose of the Invention The present invention solves the problem that labyrinths and weirs, which are adopted as means for improving vaporization capacity, on the one hand, are the basis for the accumulation of residual hard substances such as lime. The present invention provides a steam iron having a means for improving vaporizing ability that allows steam to be generated and a structure that prevents the accumulation of residual hard substances.

DESCRIPTION OF EMBODIMENTS An embodiment of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings. In Figures 2 to 6, 12
In the steam distribution chamber 4, an upper passage 15 and a lower passage 16 are formed by a partition plate provided in pressure contact with the heater wall 13 and the base outer peripheral wall 14, and are connected through an opening 17 provided in the front part. It's getting old.
In this case, the embodiment is configured with one partition plate 12, but if a plurality of partition plates 12 are provided, the opening from the top layer passage 15 to the next layer is not limited to the front part but is opened at the rear part. It's okay to have a section. However, the connection opening to the lowest layer is preferably at the front;
This is because the length of the steam ejected from the steam ejection hole 3 is longer at the front and shorter at the rear, which is more suitable for steam ironing. 1
8 is a steam button that moves the opening/closing rod 11 up and down, and when steam is required, press the spring 19 upward.
It is set in a pushed up position by the action of 2
0 is an increase steam button, which sucks up water from a water pumping tube 23 by vertically operating a pump device 22 having a check valve 21, passes through a water supply pipe 24 through the tank bottom and base lid, and enters the vaporization chamber 2.
to the water supply pipe opening 25 inside. Note that the penetrating portion is sealed with packing 26. To explain the operation in the above configuration, when performing normal steam ironing, when the steam button 18 is positioned upward, the dripping nozzle 9 opens and the water in the tank 10 is supplied to the vaporizing chamber 2, and the water is instantly converted into steam. The water droplets are guided to the upper passage 15 from the partial passage 25 of the vaporization chamber 2, and even water droplets that overflow from the vaporization chamber 2 can be vaporized within the walls of this passage. Also, when you want to smooth out particularly stubborn wrinkles in a particular area during ironing, it is necessary to apply a large amount of water.At this time, by operating the increasing steam button 20, a certain amount of water is pumped into the vaporization chamber 2 by a pump action. is supplied, and at the same time, strong steam can be obtained from the vaporization chamber 2 through the upper passage 15 and from the steam outlet in the lower passage.

Effects of the Invention As described above, the steam iron of the present invention is surrounded by a heater wall provided along the heater,
and a vaporization chamber arranged inside the heater,
a steam distribution chamber formed in a substantially U-shape outside the heater along the heater so as to surround the vaporization chamber, and guiding the steam generated in the vaporization chamber to the steam ejection hole; and a steam distribution chamber disposed on the base. tank and
A pump device that supplies water in the tank to the vaporization chamber communicates the vaporization chamber with an upper passage of the vapor distribution chamber that is vertically defined by a flat partition plate, and By making the passage and the lower passage communicate with each other at the front thereof, and by forming the steam ejection hole in the lower passage, the steam distribution chamber can be simplified without having to provide a weir or the like to create a complicated maze-like configuration. This makes it easy to process the base, and also allows some of the water that flows from the vaporization chamber to the vapor distribution chamber to be completely evaporated in the upper passage. Therefore, when generating increased steam by temporarily supplying a large amount of water to the vaporization chamber through manual operation by the user, even if there is variation in the amount of water supplied to the vaporization chamber, hot water will not flow from the steam outlet. You can eject a good amount of steam without worrying about it popping out. Furthermore, the simplification of the steam distribution chamber makes it difficult for evaporation residues to accumulate, and it is possible to prevent clogging of the steam ejection holes due to scale and the like. Therefore, there is no need to disassemble the vapor distribution chamber to remove accumulated evaporation residues;
This has the effect of providing stable steam over a long period of time.
