Description

【発明の詳細な説明】[Detailed description of the invention]

(産業上の利用分野) 本発明は2価の鉄化合物水溶液に関し、更に詳
しくは、2価の鉄化合物の水溶液にエリソルビン
酸の水溶性塩を配合して成る安定性の改良された
新規な鉄化合物の水溶液に関する。 (従来の技術) 硫酸第一鉄や塩化第一鉄などの2価の鉄化合物
は、脱臭剤、鉄黒、媒染剤、屎尿処理剤、医薬、
製革、ベンガラ等の種々の用途の原料として利用
されている。しかし、これらの水溶液は空気中の
酸素や溶存している酸素により酸化されやすく、
そのため短期間のうちに黄色沈殿を形成して消費
されてしまうことが問題となつている。 この問題に対処する為、アルカノールアミン等
のアミン化合物や塩化スズなどの還元剤を2価の
鉄化合物水溶液に添加する方法が挙げられている
が、比較的多量に添加しても安定効果は充分とは
いいがたく、又毒性の面から用途によつては制限
を受けるという欠点を有する。 (発明が解決しようとする問題点) そこで本発明者らは従来技術に見られるこれら
の欠点を解決すべく鋭意検討を重ねた結果、2価
の鉄化合物の水溶液にエリソルビン酸を配合する
ことにより2価の鉄化合物を空気中でも長期安定
化せしめることが可能なことを見出し、本発明を
完成するに至つた。 (問題点を解決するための手段) かくして本発明によれば、2価の鉄化合物の水
溶液にエリソルビン酸の水溶性塩を2価の鉄化合
物に対して2〜10重量%配合することを特徴とす
る新規な鉄化合物水溶液が提供される。 本発明で用いられる2価の鉄化合物の具体例と
しては、硫酸第一鉄、塩化第一鉄、硝酸第一鉄等
が挙げられるが、コストや入手の容易性から硫酸
第一鉄が最も好んで使用される。かかる鉄化合物
水溶液の濃度は溶解可能な範囲内で適宜選択する
ことができる。 一方、本発明で用いられるエリソルビン酸の水
溶性塩は食品などの酸化防止剤として公知のもの
であるが、非常に酸化され易い2価の鉄化合物の
安定化剤として顕著な効果を示すことは全く知ら
れていなかつた。エリソルビン酸はナトリウム
塩、カリウム塩などの塩である。 エリソルビン酸の水溶性塩の添加量は目的物の
要求性能に応じて適宜選択しうるが、通常は2価
の鉄化合物に対し2〜10重量%の範囲である。使
用量が過度に少ない場合には安定化効果が不充分
であり、逆に過度に多い場合には経済性に劣るよ
うになる。 (発明の効果) かくして本発明によれば、2価の鉄化合物の水
溶液の安定性を大巾に向上させることができる。
この安定化された鉄化合物水溶液或いはこのもの
を種々の担持体に含浸させたものは、脱臭剤、水
処理剤、媒染剤、医薬、顔料、防カビ防菌剤など
の原料として巾広い用途に利用できる。 (実施例) 次に本発明を実施例に基づき更に詳しく説明す
る。 実施例 1 鉄分として50g/の濃度に調整した硫酸第一
鉄の水溶液に所定量のエリソルビン酸ナトリウム
を添加し溶解した。各水溶液100mlを100mlビーカ
ーに入れ、ガラス板をのせて放置し、水溶液の色
並びに沈殿の生成の時期を観察した。結果を表1
に示す。 表1の結果から、無添加の場合(実験番号1)
には短時間で沈殿が生じ安定性に劣つているが、
エリソルビン酸ナトリウムを配合した場合には長
期間にわたつて安定なことが理解できる。
