Description
(産業上の利用分野)
本発明は2−ターシヤリーブチルイミノ−3−
イソプロピル−5−フエニル−3,4,5,6−
テトラヒドロ−2H−1,3,5−チアジアジン
−4−オン(以下ブプロフエジンという)を有効
成分として含有することを特徴とする防蟻剤に関
する。
(従来の技術)
白蟻は土壌中に生息することの多い害虫で、日
当りが悪く湿気が多くしかも割合に暖かいところ
を好むことから、家屋であれば台所、浴室、洗面
所、便所などの木部を食害し、建物に甚大な被害
を与える。被害は年間数百億円にも達するといわ
れており、その防除は極めて重要な問題となつて
いる。
白蟻防除剤をその使用方法から分類すると、木
剤処理剤、土壌処理剤及び食毒剤に大別される。
イエシロアリが防除の対象となる九州、四国、中
国及び近畿南部では、最近迄食毒剤に分類される
ひ素化合物が用いられていた。しかし、現在では
その使用が禁止されたため、食毒剤としては効果
の弱いほう素化合物や食毒作用のない白蟻剤クロ
ルデンが用いられている。しかし、これらの薬剤
では効力が十分でないため、低毒性で効果の優れ
た食毒剤が強く要望されていたものである。
(発明の目的及び構成)
本発明者らは低毒性で効果の優れた食毒剤を探
索すべく、鋭意検討を重ねた結果、ブプロフエジ
ンが低毒性の白蟻防除剤として食毒剤としてはも
とより接触剤としても有効であることをみいだし
て本発明を完成した。ブプロフエジンは、「アプ
ロード」なる商標の下で稲の害虫のウンカ、ヨコ
バイの防虫剤として広く使用されているが、この
ものが白蟻に有効であることは、従来の知見から
は全く予想できなかつたことである。
本発明によれば、ブプロフエジンを有効成分と
する防蟻剤は粉剤、水和剤の形で用いられ、ブプ
ロフエジンの配合割合は1重量%以上の範囲で任
意に選択される。本発明で用いられる希釈剤とし
ては、木粉、小麦粉、米粉、松ヤニ、セルロース
パウダー等の有機物、クレー、タルク、炭酸カル
シウム、ケイソウ土、黒鉛等の無機物が挙げられ
る。
本発明において、白蟻を誘引する化合物として
ブチルカルビトール、エチルカルビトール、α−
ピネン、テルペン油、ロジン、アピエチン酸、ト
ール油、エチルジグリコール、p−オキシ安息香
酸ブチル等を添加してもよい。
(実施例及び試験例)
以下に本発明の実施例、試験例を示すが、これ
らに特に限定されるものではない。
実施例 1
ブプロフエンジン 25部
クレー粉末 75部
を均一に混合して粉剤とする。

小麦粉 75部
を均一に混合して粉剤とする。

エチルカルビトール 1部
を均一に混合して粉剤とする。

ブプロフエジン 10部

を均一に混合して粉剤とする。

ブプロフエジン 5部

を均一に混合して粉剤とする。

ブプロフエジン 25部
ケイソウ土 70部
ポリオキシエチレンアルキルフエニルエーテルと
アルキルベンゼンスルホン酸塩の混合物 5部
を均一に混合して水和剤とする。
試験例 1
容器内コロニーの殺蟻効果
塩化ビニル容器(縦27cm×横20cm×高さ5cm)
中の一方の片隅に薬剤を、他方の隅に餌となる木
片を置き、反対側に給水用の吸湿脱脂綿を置い
た。この容器内にイエシロアリ職蟻50頭、兵蟻10
頭を放虫し、容器上部を小穴を多数あけたビニー
ルシートでおおい通気した。
経時的にノツクダウン数、死虫数、異常虫数を
求めた。(1区2連制)。結果を表1に示す。

Buprofezin is widely used as an insect repellent for rice planthoppers and leafhoppers under the trademark ``Apload,'' but it could not have been predicted based on conventional knowledge that it would be effective against termites. According to the present invention, a termiticide containing buprofezin as an active ingredient is used in the form of a powder or a wettable powder, and the blending ratio of buprofezin is arbitrarily selected within the range of 1% by weight or more.
