A roof-mounted cooling system for a vehicle includes a condensing unit containing a condenser and a blower in a housing with an air inlet and an outlet, and a case for the condensing unit. Each case has three types. be. The first is a case that combines a box structure made of aluminum or steel plates and a reinforcing frame, and the second is a case made of fiber reinforced plastic (FRP).
A case made of a combination of high-strength plastic and a reinforcing frame (generally steel), such as
This is a case where only high-strength plastics such as FRP are used.

There is a drawback that separate parts such as many fastening screws and fastening frames are required to store the parts, and the second
In the case of type 3, the number of steps required to combine FRP and the reinforcing frame is large, and the weight of the reinforcing frame increases. In the case of type 3, the load is borne by FRP itself, so the weight of the FRP itself increases. The wall thickness had to be considerably thicker, and the weight was about the same as the second type.

る。 In the refrigeration cycle of this embodiment, the evaporator 31
A and 31B evaporate the refrigerant to obtain a low heat source to cool the cooling air, and then increase the potential to high temperature and high pressure gas in order to liquefy the vaporized refrigerant in a compressor (not shown). compressed and lower than outside temperature
The refrigerant that has become 20 to 30 degrees Celsius is the condenser 52A,
52B diffuses heat and becomes a high-pressure liquid refrigerant,
After the liquid refrigerant is stored in the receivers 51A and 51B, water and dirt in the liquid refrigerant are removed by the dryers 54A and 54B, and the liquid refrigerant enters the expansion valves 33A and 33B, where it is depressurized and becomes a low-temperature, low-pressure atomized refrigerant, which is then transferred to the evaporators 31A and 31B. The cycle ends when the process returns to .

Because it is molded, the wall thickness of the unit case can be made as thin as possible, making it lighter and reducing the number of processes.
Sufficient rigidity can be obtained within a limited total height,
The space within the ridge formed by the inner wall, outer wall, and top plate can be effectively used as a ventilation duct, equipment storage space, etc.
