は、前輪駆動軸1に嵌着されているベベルギヤ8
の横方向よりも下方に位置することになつて、外
側ギヤケース6がフロントアクスルハウジング2
の下面から下方へ大きく突出する形となり、この
結果、外側ギヤケース6の下面が地上に接近し
て、この走行車両の前輪駆動装置の附近の最低地

ギヤケースに対して回転自在に設けている回向中
心軸を、内側のベベルギヤ機構を介して前輪駆動
軸に、又、外側のベベルギヤ機構を介して上記遊
星ギヤ機構の太陽ギヤに夫々連結し、上記遊星ギ
ヤ機構によつて前輪軸が減速駆動されるように構
成している走行車両の前輪駆動装置において、上
記内側ギヤケースに正面断面視が略鍵型のギヤ室
を形成し、この鍵型の縦状部内に上記内側のベベ
ルギヤ機構の前輪駆動軸に取付けているベベルギ
ヤを臨ませ、このギヤ室の下方にて内側ギヤケー
スの下部に形成した舵取回向用のジヤーナル孔の
内側に、外側ギヤケースの下部に形成したジヤー
ナルボスを嵌合して、該ジヤーナルボスが水平視
で前記ベベルギヤの下端部より上方に位置するよ
うに構成したことを特徴とする走行車両の前輪駆
動装置を提供するものである。斯くして、本発明
は、下位のジヤーナル孔とジヤーナルボスがベベ
ルギヤの外側方にて横に並んだ長さ分だけ外側ギ
ヤケースの下面の位置が高くなつて最低地上高も
高くなり、又、内外側ギヤケースは小形化される
ことになるように工夫したものである。
