Description

【発明の詳細な説明】[Detailed description of the invention]

本発明は真珠状表面光沢を有するポリエステル
製二軸延伸ブロー容器に関するものである。 ポリエステル特にポリエチレンテレフタレート
製二軸延伸ブロー容器は、その優れた機械的性
質、透明性、耐薬品性、ガスバリヤー性等によ
り、調味料、化粧品、炭酸飲料等の容器として広
く使われるようになつた。しかしながら、容器の
外観について見ると、無色透明又は透明で着色さ
れた容器がほとんどである。しかし化粧品容器の
分野では容器の外観、装飾的な面が重視されるた
め、真珠状表面光沢を有する容器等が望まれてい
る。 従来の真珠状表面光沢を得る技術としては、特
公昭46−31467や特開昭56−27328に記載されてい
るように、真珠顔料を添加する方法や特定の熱可
塑性樹脂の混和組成物を成形する方法があるが、
添加物の毒性、射出成形時のゲート部のクラツク
発生、パリソンの結晶化、層間のはくり性、ブレ
ンドの煩雑さ等の欠点があつた。 本発明者は上記従来方法の欠点を改良すべく検
討した結果本発明に到達した。 すなわち本発明はポリエチレンテレフタレート
を主たる成分とするポリエステルから成る容器で
あつて、該容器胴部の実質的全面にわたり、外表
面の透明性が内表面の透明性よりも良く、該外表
面のヘーズ値が5%以下、該内表面のヘーズ値が
30%以上である真珠状表面光沢を有するポリエス
テル製二軸延伸ブロー容器に関するものである。 本発明でいうポリエステルはテレフター酸およ
びエチレングリコールからなるホモポリマー、お
よびテレフタル酸、エチレングリコールにさら
に、その他の第三成分を共重合させたコポリマー
を包含する。このようなコポリマーは公知であ
り、第三成分としては通常イソフタール酸、ナフ
タレンジカルボン酸などの芳香族ジカルボン酸、
p−ヒドロキシ安息香酸などのオキシカルボン
酸、プロピレングリコール、テトラメチレングリ
コール、ネオペンチルグリコールなどのアルキレ
ングリコール、ポリエチレングリコールなどのポ
リアルキレングリコール等が用いられる。コポリ
マー中の第三成分の比率は30モル%以下であるこ
とが好ましい。 またポリエチレンテレフタレートに、上記コポ
リマー成分を有する他のポリエステル樹脂をブレ
ンドしたものであつても良い。さらに通常用いら
れる安定剤や、色調改良剤、着色剤等の添加剤も
含有させて良い。 特に、パリソンの透明性が保持できるような顔
料、染料等の着色剤の添加は、着色したパリソン
を上記の方法等により二軸延伸ブローを行なう
と、種々の色調の真珠状表面光沢を有する容器が
得られ、装飾的効果が増し好ましい。 本発明で使用するポリエステルは固有粘度が
0.6以上であり、得られた容器の固有粘度は0.57
以上とすることが好ましい。固有粘度が低すぎる
と、機械的強度に問題が生ずる。 本発明の真珠状表面光沢を有する容器は、容器
の外表面と内表面の透明性を変え、外表面の透明
性が内表面の透明性よりも良くすることにより得
ることができる。 このような内外で透明性の異なる容器は次のよ
うにして製造することができる。 パリソンを加熱、延伸ブローする工程で、パリ
ソンの内面の温度を通常の延伸温度よりも意図的
に10℃〜20℃低くし、パリソンの外面の温度を通
常の延伸温度、例えば85℃〜105℃に加熱した後、
二軸延伸ブローを行ない、延伸ブロー時にパリソ
ン内部のみが白化して延伸され、外面は透明性を
有したまま延伸されるような方法。この方法を簡
易に行なうにはパリソンを外面から加熱する方法
においては、通常の加熱時間に比べて加熱時間を
短かくすると良い。ホツトパリソン法ではパリソ
ン内面に冷風を吹きつけるような方法が良い。 別の方法としては、パリソンを内面から110℃
〜130℃に加熱し、パリソンの内面で高温による
結晶化を起させるとともに、パリソンの外面は通
常の延伸温度、例えば85℃〜105℃に加熱して二
軸延伸ブローを行ない、内面が白化し、外面が透
明性を有する容器を得る方法等が挙げられる。 本発明における容器は胴部の実質的全面にわた
り外表面の透明性が内表面より良いことが必要で
あり、外表面のヘーズは5%以下、更に好ましく
は1%以下であり、内表面のヘーズは30%以上、
更に好ましくは60%以上である。 最も好ましくは内表面が白化現象を起し、外表
面に透明性を保持しているものが良い。 以上のような方法で得られる真珠状の光沢を有
する容器は、食品衛生上好ましく、また表裏の剥
離性もないすぐれた容器である。 以下に実施例により、本発明を更に具体的に説
明する。 実施例1〜2及び比較例1〜2 極限粘度0.78のポリエチレンテレフタレートの
チツプに、このポリエチレンテレフタレートをベ
ースとし、銅フタロシアニン・ブルー及びモノア
ゾ系イエローの顔料を配合した着色マスターバツ
チを15:1の割合でブレンドし、160℃12時間真
空乾燥を行なつた。このレジンから、東芝機械製
の射出成形機IS60B型を用いて、25mmφ×150mm
L×4mmtの透明でグリーン色のパリソンを成形
した。このパリソンを外面から表1に示した時
間、赤外線ヒーターで加熱した後、延伸ブローし
胴径110φ、容量2の容器とした。但し、加熱

であるため、その他の例では得られたヘーズ値が
ほぼ容器内面のヘーズ値と等しいと考えられる。
