JP-A-60-53408 and U.S. Patent No. 3,327,803 disclose that the third lateral link is connected to the rear part of the trailing arm, and the first lateral link is connected to the front and rear intermediate portions of the trailing arm. Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 57-110513 discloses that a first lateral link is connected below the pivot portion of the trailing arm on the vehicle body side.

Since they are separated, the first lateral link must be made long to ensure vertical swing of the trailing arm.

Arm and one end to the vehicle body and the other end to the trailing arm 1
It consists of a plurality of lateral links 21, 31, 41 movably connected to and arranged in the lateral direction of the vehicle body, and one of the plurality of lateral links 21, 31, 41 is placed on the rear end side of the trailing arm 1. In the rear suspension of the vehicle, an extension is formed on the front end side of the trailing arm 1 and projects forward from the vehicle body side pivoting part E, and the extension part 5 is provided with the plurality of lateral links 21, 31, 41. Connect the other one.

Since it is located near section E, the length of the link needs to be short to some extent. Furthermore, since there is no link below the vehicle body side pivot point E, the minimum ground clearance can be increased. Furthermore, since the first lateral link 21 is located forward of the vehicle body side pivot point E, the span with the third lateral link 41 on the rear end side of the trailing arm 1, which contributes to toe rigidity, can be made larger than before, and the toe rigidity is increased. Can be maintained high.

Since the first lateral link 21 is connected to the intermediate portion of the arm 1, the first lateral link 21 is closer to the pivot point E of the arm 1 than when connected to the intermediate portion of the arm 1, so the link length only needs to be relatively short as in the embodiment.

It consists of a plurality of lateral links movably connected to the vehicle body at one end and the trailing arm at the other end, arranged in the lateral direction of the vehicle body, and one of the plurality of lateral links is arranged at the rear end side of the trailing arm. In the rear suspension of a vehicle installed in the vehicle, an extension part is formed on the front end side of the trailing arm to protrude forward from the vehicle body side pivot part, and another one of the plurality of lateral links is connected to the extension part. Therefore, the link length can be made somewhat shorter than when this single lateral link is connected to the intermediate part of the trailing arm, and there is no lateral link below the pivot point on the vehicle body side of the trailing arm. This allows us to increase the minimum ground clearance, and by connecting the lateral link forward of the pivot point on the vehicle body side of the trailing arm, the span between this link and the lateral link on the rear end of the trailing arm is larger than before. Since it can be removed, toe rigidity can be maintained at a high level.
