In recent years, when large-sized, large-diameter steel pipes, humid pipes, ceramic pipes, or plastic pipes are buried underground through culverts or open drains during water supply, sewage, and drainage construction,
A construction method has been developed in which the outer surface of the pipe is covered while being buried. These methods use cylindrical membranes with different diameters depending on the diameter of the pipe to be buried, and as the pipe is coated and exposed to harsh conditions due to being buried underground, it is difficult to withstand the harsh conditions. A membrane with the desired performance, i.e., a certain thickness and stiffness, is used. Further, it is difficult to maintain a cylindrical film used for a coating having a length of several tens of meters to several hundreds of meters and a considerable thickness in a cylindrical shape.

That is, the present invention includes a step of supplying a cylindrical flexible membrane in which continuously formed cylindrical flexible membranes are sequentially fed to a required length, and a step of supplying a cylindrical flexible membrane in the form of a truncated cone with a roller at a predetermined length of the sequentially supplied membrane. An auxiliary fixing plate with a roller equipped with a rectifying part is disposed inside, and a fixing jig is provided on the outer periphery of the membrane and is divided into one or more parts and is movable up and down and back and forth, and is detachable. The folding process involves holding the membrane at the position of the auxiliary fixing plate, moving it downward by a certain pitch, returning to the original position, and repeating the operation of holding the peak of the next pitch, and the divided fixing plate. While inserting one or more pushing plates provided between the jigs into the valleys of the folds during folding, press the folds downward when the fixing jig releases the membrane and rises again. , and a holding process, and these operations are repeated to fold into a bellows shape,
A method and an apparatus for folding a cylindrical flexible membrane into a bellows shape, which comprises a step of sequentially moving the hollow core tube downward in an elevator along the outer periphery once or every predetermined number of times. This is what we provide.

Specifically, a long cylindrical flexible membrane to be folded is fed out from one side and held in a cylindrical shape by a folding rectifier equipped with a disc, a truncated cone, and/or a cylindrical body that holds the membrane in a cylindrical shape. Then, the tip of the membrane is attached to a temporary end plate so that it can move in the direction of the central axis of the cylinder, and the cylindrical membrane is fixed using a fixing jig that is provided on the outer periphery of the membrane and is movable up and down and back and forth and can be detached. For each folding pitch, the crest of the fold is held and moved downward by a predetermined pitch to complete one pitch of folding. During this time, the method of folding the troughs to prevent the creases from becoming messy and the folded state becoming bulky, the pressing operation to prevent the folded folds from returning to their original shape due to the spring effect, and the method of folding the folds into a donut-shaped bellows shape. An elevator or screw shaft supporting the membrane is combined with a temporary end plate so that the membrane is successively lowered along the outer periphery of the hollow core tube. By repeating these operations, when the folding is completed, the temporary end plate is removed, and the end of the cylindrical membrane is reattached to the end plate of the folded hollow core tube, or the temporary end plate is fixed to the end plate.

In addition, as for the method of folding the troughs of the folding folds mentioned above, even without using a special jig, as the fixing jig is lowered, the film is folded in such a way that the folds of a certain pitch are directed toward the hollow core cylinder, but the folding wrinkles are not removed. In order to prevent the folded state from becoming messy and bulky, and to prevent the folded folds from returning to their original shape due to the spring effect, it is desirable to insert a pusher plate into the troughs of the folds and press them downward.

That is, the tip of a folding hollow core tube (cassette) 5 comprising a truncated conical rectifier 2 holding the membrane 1 in a cylindrical shape and a cylindrical body 4 with an auxiliary fixing plate 3 is fixed to a temporary end plate 6. The membrane 1 is set as shown in FIG. 2a. The original fabric obtained by folding the cylindrical membrane in half is pulled out through roll 7, and then passed through rolls 8 and 8'.
After that, it is placed over the folding cassette 5 from above, and the tip of the cylindrical membrane is fixed to the temporary end plate 6 with a fixing device such as a rivet.

Next, as shown in FIG. 2b, the cylindrical membrane is fixed by means of fixing jigs (chuck devices) 9a and 9a' that are movable up and down and back and forth through the fixing auxiliary plate 3 at a position of a certain pitch width p to be folded. It is held in a cylindrical shape.
The chuck devices 9a, 9a' move back in the radial direction while holding the membrane, and at this time, due to the slippage between the fixing auxiliary plate and the membrane material, only the membrane is separated from the auxiliary plate while being held in the chuck. Then, as the chuck continues to descend in the axial direction by a predetermined pitch, the membrane folds inward. At this time, the folding of the inside part becomes irregular, resulting in a messy folded finish. To prevent this, the membrane is regularly folded inward by the pushing plates 10a and 10a' as the membrane descends. Push it in. Therefore, Figure 3 a to d
As shown in the figure, the cylindrical shape is folded into a bellows shape. The chuck devices 9a, 9a' then release the membrane and rise again by the next pitch and repeat the operation. This folding operation is performed continuously, and the cylindrical membrane is folded one after another into a bellows shape as shown in FIG. 2b.

In this way, the pushing plates 10a and 10a' hold and fix the membrane while the membrane is being folded once, and prevent the folded membrane from floating upward due to the spring effect, and also prevent it from being newly folded in the next process. Retain the valley folds of the membrane.

The chuck device and the pushing plate are arranged on the outer periphery of the cylindrical membrane as shown in FIG. 4, and are each divided into one or two or more pieces, making it convenient for the chuck to move up and down and back and forth. The folding membrane whose tip is fixed to the temporary end plate 6 is lowered downward every time it is folded, and when the folding is completed, the temporary end plate 6 is removed and replaced with the end plate 12 of the folding cassette. During burial work, the membrane folded into a cassette is stored together with the cassette in a storage pipe connected to the rear of the shield machine.
