[Industrial Application Field] This invention is a mixture of weathered soil with a natural moisture content, natural soil, and foamed asphalt using one or more of latex and resin emulsion as a foaming medium as a binder. The present invention relates to a room-temperature mixture for paving that has a natural color and has excellent properties such as flexibility, environmental adaptability, walkability, etc., can harmonize with the surrounding landscape, and can be used for a wide range of purposes. [Prior art] Conventionally, park paths, promenades, jogging roads,
Asphalt pavements, concrete pavements, colored pavements, block pavements, and stone pavements are used as pavements for areas used for walking, running, resting, playing sports, etc., such as cycling roads, parkland plazas, and sports facilities, depending on the purpose of use. Various types of pavement have been adopted, including tile pavement, brick pavement, polished pavement, dust pavement, permeable pavement, soil pavement, and elastic pavement. However, although these black, white, and artificially colored pavements are strong and transparent, they are incompatible with the natural environment and are expensive. In addition, gravel roads, crushed stone roads, dust pavements, soil-based pavements, etc. are pavements that are close to nature, but due to use by many people, the surfaces have been scraped off or become uneven, resulting in poor flatness and the generation of dust. It also had many drawbacks, such as becoming soft after rain, making it uncomfortable for people to walk or ride a bicycle on, and requiring frequent maintenance such as replenishing materials and shaping. [Objective of the Invention] In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the present invention provides soil that has natural colors that harmonize with the surrounding landscape, has properties similar to the original soil such as being easy to walk on and is less tiring, and has stability, durability, and peeling resistance. We provide a natural-colored, room-temperature mixture for paving that has properties such as water resistance and dust resistance, as well as excellent storage and workability, and can be applied to a wide range of applications.It also requires less maintenance, is inexpensive, and is economical. The purpose is to [Structure and operation of the invention] As a result of intensive research into a room-temperature mixture for paving that meets this purpose, the inventors have found that latex or By mixing a binder made of foamed asphalt with one or more types of resin emulsion as a blowing agent, it is possible to obtain a natural color and storability of the mixture due to the mixing characteristics of the foamed asphalt, and also to maintain the natural color of the soil. The present invention was completed by discovering that a mixture can be obtained that has excellent texture, workability, stability, durability, peeling resistance, dustproofing, water resistance, etc. This invention will be explained in more detail below. When producing the natural color room temperature mixture of this invention, naturally occurring weathered soil or natural soil is used as aggregate;
Formed asphalt containing one or more types of latex or resin emulsion as a binder and a foaming agent are mixed at room temperature in a normal asphalt plant, and the formed asphalt containing latex or resin emulsion is finely dispersed in the aggregate. Let to obtain a natural color room temperature mixture. The formed asphalt used in this invention is made by adding latex or resin emulsion as a foaming agent to straight asphalt and stirring and mixing it with a stirring mixing device to form a foam. The resulting reduction in viscosity makes it possible to mix with naturally hydrated fine-grained soil. Formed asphalt mixed with fine-grained soil (aggregate) does not coat the surface of all aggregates, but first coats the surface of aggregates with finer particle sizes. This coating is created by the destruction of each closed cell of formed asphalt, which is an aggregate of fine closed cells, when it comes into contact with individual aggregates of finer particle size. The coating film thickness is extremely thin. Such coatings are progressively applied to aggregates of larger particle size, but are not applied to aggregates of particle size greater than approximately 0.1 mm. Aggregates with a particle size of 0.1 mm or more result in the above-mentioned coating in which finer asphalt is surrounded by aggregate coated with an extremely thin film. For this reason, the thickness of the formed asphalt mixed into the entire fine-grained soil remains extremely thin, and the blackening caused by mixing asphalt is completely prevented, so the natural color of the fine-grained soil itself remains. exhibits the color of In addition, in this way, a room-temperature mixture made of finer aggregate coated with an extremely thin film of asphalt maintains a moist state near the moisture content at the time of kneading, and can be stored in a loose state without compaction due to its own weight. Then, the moisture contained in the mixture prevents the asphalts from bonding together and from weathering, resulting in a room-temperature mixture that can be stored. When latex or resin emulsion is used as a blowing agent, the aggregate in the spread and compacted mixture is bound by asphalt that is integrated with latex or resin emulsion, so that it is more effective than asphalt alone. It has the effect of improving properties such as stability, durability, water resistance, and elasticity of the mixture. Regarding the aggregate used for this mixture, the particle size is 10% due to the natural color, stability, and durability of the resulting mixture.
Weathered soil or natural soil with a particle size of less than mm, preferably less than 5 mm, with a somewhat continuous grain size, and a fine grain content of 20%.
Weathered granite soil with a certain degree of soil is desirable, but any similar soil will suffice. Further, depending on the purpose, one kind or a combination of two or more kinds of aggregates may be used.
Although it depends on the type of aggregate when mixed with the formed asphalt, the natural moisture content of the aggregate is usually 5% to 15%. In addition, it is desirable to improve the plasticity of aggregates with a large plasticity index by adding cement, lime, etc. before use. The amount of formed asphalt to be mixed with the above aggregate is approximately 3 to 8% of the aggregate, taking into account the natural color of the mixture, the stability, durability, water resistance, and elasticity of the compacted mixture. , approximately 4% is preferable. The amount of latex or resin emulsion used as a blowing agent and binder is preferably about 2 to 4% based on the asphalt based on the properties of the formed asphalt, that is, the expansion ratio, and the properties of the reduced asphalt. In addition, asphalt with a penetration rate of 60/80 or 80/100, which is used in normal plants, can be used. Furthermore, latex and resin emulsions
One or a combination of latexes such as SBR, NBR, CR, butadiene, and isoprene, and resin emulsions such as acrylic, vinyl acetate, and ethylene vinyl acetate can be used. The natural-color room-temperature mixture of this invention uses room-temperature aggregate adjusted to a natural moisture content and asphalt heated to around 150°C, using one or more types of latex or resin emulsion, using an ordinary heated asphalt plant. It is manufactured by mixing foamed asphalt obtained by adding it as a blowing agent and stirring at room temperature. The produced natural-color, room-temperature mixture can be stored for a long time without changing its water content, and can be stored by covering it with a sheet or packing it into bags. In addition, if a formed stabilizer is used, on-road mixing can be performed at the current location. The natural color room-temperature mixture produced as described above is transported to the pavement construction site, spread by hand or by a finisher, and compacted by rollers or the like. [Example] Masa soil with a natural moisture content of 10.2% and the properties shown in Table 1 and 3% acrylic emulsion as a foaming agent.
(vs. asphalt) and 4% (vs. aggregate) of formed asphalt were mixed to obtain a natural color room temperature mixture. When the storage stability of the mixture thus obtained was investigated, it was found that even if the mixture was mixed for 7 days, there was no change in density or stability as long as there was no change in water content. In addition, the effect of temperature on compaction is
The higher the temperature when compacting the mixture, the greater the density, and the degree of influence is 0.9% per 10℃
It was also confirmed that if the compaction temperature is set at 20℃, it will not be affected much. In addition, it was spread on the roadbed at the site to a thickness of 10 cm,
The compacted mixture retained the same natural color tone as regular masa soil and blended well with nature. The quality characteristics of this mixture are shown in Table-2. Five months after construction, there was no erosion due to rainfall, the color was natural, water resistant, and durable.Furthermore, the feel to pedestrians was similar to that of natural soil, and it was in harmony with nature and had a runoff prevention effect. Sufficient effects such as sustainability were obtained.

[Table] Repulsion height when allowed to fall naturally [Effects of the invention] The natural color room-temperature mixture for pavement according to the present invention is made by combining naturally occurring weathered soil or natural soil with one or more types of latex or resin emulsion as a blowing agent. This room-temperature mixture is made by coating the finer aggregates in fine soil (aggregate) with an extremely thin asphalt film. You can take advantage of the natural color of fine-grained soil, and if you keep it moist around the water content at the time of mixing and leave the mixture loose at room temperature,
The moisture contained in the mixture prevents the bonding of asphalts and weathering of asphalt, making it possible to store and easy to pave.
In addition, the compacted mixture has excellent stability, durability, water resistance, and peeling resistance, and is also excellent in dust resistance, and does not easily form unevenness on the surface, making maintenance easy and economical. Furthermore, since the compacted mixture of this invention has moderate water retention,
It maintains its surface hardness permanently, does not become muddy during rain, and has a moderate amount of elasticity. Therefore, it can be used in a wide range of applications such as park paths, promenades, jogging roads, cycling roads, walking paths, exercise plazas, amusement park gardens, tennis courts, and other fields.
