[Industrial Field of Application] The present invention relates to a photographic support, and particularly to a photographic support that prevents wrinkles from forming. [Prior art] When a belt-shaped support is continuously transferred, wrinkles due to friction may occur between the support and the guide roll depending on the tension of the support, the material of the guide roll, the angle of contact between the guide roll and the support, and the atmosphere. may occur. Conventionally, when manufacturing a support, a coating solution containing a matting agent is applied to the back side and dried to make it matte, or after manufacturing, the same matting agent is applied to the back side to impart matte properties, or This wrinkle was prevented by forming a texture pattern only on the surface. However, matting was not able to sufficiently prevent wrinkles. In the case of photographic materials, if the surface is textured, the image becomes semi-glossy or matte, making it impossible to create a glossy surface. [Problems to be Solved by the Invention] The purpose of the present invention is to prevent the formation of wrinkles that occur during continuous transport of the support. [Means for Solving the Problems] The objects of the present invention can be achieved by using a support having textured irregularities formed on the surface opposite to the side to which the photographic emulsion is coated. FIG. 1 is a sectional view of the support of the present invention. Height A is in the range of 15-20 μm. The convex interval B is
It ranges from 100 to 700 μm, preferably from 300 to 500 μm. FIG. 2 is a plan view of the support of the present invention. The horizontal distance C between the convexities is 200 to 1200 μm, preferably
It ranges from 500 to 900 μm. The number of protrusions per mm 2 is 2 to 100, preferably 4 to 13. When resin-coated paper (for example, polyethylene resin-coated paper) is used, the
-142225 It is possible to form irregularities on the back surface by the methods described in each publication. Furthermore, when a resin film (for example, a polyester film) is used, irregularities may be formed after biaxial stretching and before the film cools. Alternatively, the film may be further coated with a resin to form irregularities on the coated resin. [Effects of the Invention] According to the present invention, the support can be continuously transferred at high speed without causing wrinkles. [Example] Example 1 Polyethylene resin coated paper having an undercoat layer was coated with
JP-A-62-87953 Example 1 Two layers of the silver halide emulsion of Sample 6 and a gelatin protective layer were simultaneously coated and dried. During this drying, the occurrence of wrinkles was observed when the film was continuously transferred on guide rolls during the drying process. A mirror-finished chrome plated roll was used as the guide roll, and two types of polyethylene resin-coated paper having different thicknesses and treated on the back as shown in Table 1 were used as the support. [Table] From the results in Table 2, compared to comparative samples 1 to 3,
It can be seen that Samples 4 and 5 of the present invention are prevented from forming wrinkles. Example 2 Two layers of the silver halide emulsion and gelatin protective layer of Example 1 Sample 6 of JP-A-62-87953 were simultaneously coated on a polyethylene terephthalate film having an undercoat layer and dried. It was dried in the same manner as in Example 1, and the occurrence of wrinkles during the drying process was examined, and the same results as in Example 1 were obtained.
