[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] Normally, dentures are manufactured using the so-called direct method, in which denture resin is built up directly in the oral cavity.
It is broadly divided into indirect methods, in which dentures are fabricated outside the oral cavity by molding the dentition into a plaster model.

Conventionally, various methods have been known for the indirect fabrication of dentures, but in particular, in the indirect fabrication of dentures using photopolymerizable resin, there are two methods, for example, when the denture is made of a resin veneer crown or jacket crown. Once removed, a paint-type opaque agent is applied to the tooth shape on the plaster model, polymerized (hardened), and several types of paste resin, such as dentin color and enamel color, are built up and temporarily applied to the tooth shape of each person on the surface. After polymerization, a stain is applied to the tooth neck and other areas to create the tooth shape and color tone of the user. When curing the resin for each layer, each layer is placed in a box-type main polymerization vessel. It was customary to carry out polymerization or temporary polymerization.

On the other hand, as a means of temporary polymerization using the main polymerization vessel as described above, light is led out through an optical fiber tube from a high-intensity lamp such as a halogen bulb built into the box of the main polymerization vessel, and this is used to illuminate the workbench. However, when using a box-type main polymerization device among the above-mentioned conventional means for temporarily polymerizing resin for dentures, the plaster model of the denture is removed from the articulator after each layer of resin is applied, and then transferred to the main polymerization device. It takes a considerable amount of time and effort to store the container, adjust the position of the tooth profile in the container, and the distance from the light source, and the extremely flexible paste resin may flow or deform due to vibration during transportation or the passage of time. Therefore, it was almost impossible to obtain high-precision dentures.

Furthermore, it was necessary to perform occlusal processing by cutting, polishing, etc., and not only did this work require considerable skill and time, but the cutting exposed the underlying resin color, making it difficult to achieve the color tone of the denture that was originally envisioned. There were many issues such as harm to the government.

On the other hand, in the temporary polymerization method using an optical fiber tube, the optical fiber is expensive, and if the material to be polymerized is not brought close to the end of the fiber, the amount of light will be insufficient and the polymerization will take time. In addition to narrowing the range, there were other problems such as the fiber tubes often becoming an obstacle to the work.

In view of the above-mentioned circumstances, the present invention provides a method for applying a plurality of types of photopolymerizable paste resins to a series of denture material surfaces to be fitted to each tooth profile of a plaster model supported by an articulator, for example. The main polymerization manual is not used until complete polymerization, and a special stand-type temporary polymerization device with a light source whose power can be switched by a foot switch is installed on the workbench, and the worker can record the tooth profile near it. The technical content is to achieve quick and accurate temporary polymerization of the built-up resin by simply moving to the light irradiation position of the temporary polymerization device each time the paste resin is piled up while imagining it.

In other words, it consists of a stand rod that uses one or more halogen bulbs as a light source and maintains them at a constant height, and in the case of multiple light sources, supports the beams of light so that they intersect at one point; A method was used in which the power source could be switched freely using a foot switch or the like installed on the floor via a cord.

Furthermore, measures were taken to directly cover the light source of the temporary polymerization vessel with a colored hood made of resin or glass, or to attach a light shielding body made of a colored glass plate or the like so that the irradiated area could be seen through.

The temporary polymerization device of the present invention having the above configuration enables surface hardening of a wide range immediately by simply moving the material to be polymerized to the intersection position of the projection beam each time the paste resin is laminated. The resin does not lose its shape, and the tooth shape can be created exactly as imagined.

In addition, this temporary polymerization device can be easily installed on a workbench, and the power can be operated using a foot switch, allowing the operator to use both hands at all times to perform temporary polymerization on any part of the body. If a light shielding body such as a colored glass plate is attached, the worker's eyes can be protected.

Hereinafter, the structure will be explained in more detail based on the embodiments of the present invention. Next, we will discuss how to use the temporary polymerization device according to the present invention having the above configuration. For example, by applying an opaque agent using a conventional method and completely polymerizing the resin denture, the plaster is held in the articulator. In order to fabricate a denture consisting of layers of each color, in the order of shin color, dentin color, and enamel color, with an average thickness of 0.2 mm, fitted onto the tooth profile of the model and placed on the surface of each resin jacket, a temporary polymerization process was installed on the workbench. When a worker located near the vessel has finished building up the lowest layer of tooth-colored color by about 0.2 mm, he moves directly to the intersecting light beam position of the temporary polymerization vessel and irradiates it with light for 2 to 3 seconds. The resin on the surface becomes temporarily polymerized and hardens. Therefore, continue applying the next dentin color to the surface with the same 0.2
The desired shape and color are achieved by repeating the necessary number of layers of plating to a thickness of about mm, moving it to the temporary polymerization vessel again, and irradiating it with light. If necessary, apply stain and perform temporary polymerization to achieve the desired shape and color. Finally, they are placed together with the plaster model or separated from the plaster model into a box-shaped main polymerization vessel, and each resin layer is completely cured to complete the fabrication of the denture.

According to the temporary polymerization vessel of the present invention described in detail above, the following remarkable effects can be obtained compared to conventional ones, but among these, the direct effects of the temporary polymerization vessel are generally as follows: Since the temporary polymerization time for an extremely thin paste resin layer is 2 to 5 seconds, heat does not accumulate in the light source, and therefore a heat dissipation device such as a fan is not required as in the case of temporary polymerization using a main polymerization vessel. It is unnecessary, small, lightweight, and can be obtained at low cost.

In addition, as an indirect effect of the present invention, temporary polymerization requires only moving the material to be polymerized a short distance on the workbench, so vibrations and time are reduced between the resin plating and the temporary polymerization. First, the serving resin is less likely to flow or lose its shape.

In particular, those using multiple light sources have the advantage of being able to emit light from multiple directions, so the irradiation range is wide, the amount of light is stable even when working at a distance from the light source, and the time required for temporary polymerization can be significantly shortened. has.

Since the polymerization process can be carried out by holding the material to be polymerized in one's hand, the irradiation site can be freely selected and changed, and it is also possible to preferentially perform temporary polymerization on sites that are likely to lose their shape.

However, in addition to the above-mentioned effects, the present invention also provides the following potential effects. In other words, it is necessary for the built-up resin denture to be completely polymerized in the main polymerization device, but with the development of a special temporary polymerization device like the present invention, it is possible to completely polymerize the built-up resin denture using a large amount of time and effort. Temporary polymerization work that has been carried out using the main polymerization vessel has become significantly easier and faster to carry out. Therefore, for indirect fabrication of dentures, for one large and expensive main polymerization device, the temporary polymerization devices 3 to 3 described above are used.
By using five units in combination, it is possible to have the same denture manufacturing capacity as three to five conventional polymerization units. In other words, the temporary polymerization vessel according to the present invention has great utility as an auxiliary device that increases the added value of the conventional main polymerization vessel by 3 to 5 times.
