That is, first, the heat-melting adhesive patch 3 is supplied to the spherical surface of the lens 1, which is the workpiece, and/or to the application surface 2a of the lens application plate 2. Next, the lens 1 is attached to the attachment surface 2 of the lens attachment plate 2 in an atmosphere in which the adhesive patch 3 is dissolved.
a with a constant pressing force to affix the lens 1 to the affixing plate 2. At the time of this pressing, the patch 3 is spread from the center to the periphery of the patch surface 2a, and the patch 3
is diffused over substantially the entire surface of the lens 1 and the application surface 2a, and the excess patch 3 protrudes from the application surface 2a to the outer periphery. Next, a centering operation is performed via the centering chuck 4, followed by cooling.

That is, in the above conventional application method, when pressing the lens 1 onto the application surface 2a, excess patch 3 inevitably protrudes onto the outer periphery of the application plate 2 and the lens 1. There was a problem in that the protruding patch 3 adhered to the centering surface (clamping surface) of the centering chuck 4 during centering. Therefore, even if the centering work is carried out diligently, there will be eccentricity of the adhesive patch corresponding to the thickness of the adhesive patch 3 adhered to the centering operation surface, and due to this eccentricity, there will be defects in the edge thickness of the lens 1 during processing, and there will be scratches due to polishing. occurs, causing a significant deterioration in the quality of processed lenses. Furthermore, if the eccentricity is large, a so-called chatter phenomenon occurs during machining, making machining impossible.

The present invention has been made in view of the above-mentioned conventional problems, and it is an object of the present invention to apply the adhesive in a highly accurately centered state without causing eccentricity of the adhesive no matter how much the adhesive protrudes when applying the lens. An object of the present invention is to provide a method for attaching a lens and a device for attaching the lens.

[Means and effects for solving the problems] The present invention provides a heat-soluble patch to the lens surface on the application side of the lens, and applies the lens to the application surface of the application plate in an atmosphere at the melting temperature of the patch. After crimping, the patch is held at a temperature that can maintain the patch in a fluid state and has a concave portion at a portion corresponding to the joint between the lens and the patch plate, which are crimped together. Performing centering while holding the lens and the attachment plate in a centering mechanism unit for centering,
Thereafter, the lens and the attachment plate are immersed in a cooling medium such as a cooling liquid while maintaining the holding state during the centering operation, or the cooling medium is sprayed onto the lens and the attachment plate while maintaining the centering state with the chuck claw. Accordingly, by providing a method and device for applying a lens in which the lens and the application plate are forcibly cooled to harden the patch, it is possible to eliminate the eccentricity of the application and perform good processing.

Next, the second suction section 22 is moved up and restored, and the first suction section 17 is conveyed onto the axis of the centering table 21 . Next, the first suction part 17 is moved down to press the lens 11 suctioned and held onto the application surface of the application plate 18 via the adhesive patch 12 as shown in the fifth section.

Next, as shown in FIG. 6, the lens 11 and the attachment plate 18 are held between the chuck claws 76 and centered so that the lens 11 is attached to the attachment plate 18 at a proper position. During this centering, hot air is blown out from the air outlet 93 to heat the area around the chuck nail 76 to about the melting temperature of the adhesive patch 12. Therefore, even if the excess patch 12 sticks out and adheres to the outer periphery of the patch surface when the lens 11 and the patch plate 18 are pressed together, the patch 12 remains in a dissolved state.
There is no problem with centering operation. Therefore,
Extremely accurate centering operations can be performed.
Furthermore, since centering is performed while avoiding and holding the patch 12 parts, more accurate centering is possible in addition to the above effects.

When the centering operation is completed, the lens 11 and the attachment plate 18 are moved while being held by the chuck claw 76, and are immersed in the cooling liquid 97 in the cooling tank 95 for forced cooling. This cooling hardens the adhesive patch 12, and the lens 11 is adhered and fixed to the adhesive plate 18 in a highly accurately centered state. During this cooling, the effect of the circulation port 98 improves the cooling effect.

When the cooling step is completed, the chuck claw 76 is opened and the third suction portion 26 suction-holds the application plate 18. Then, the third suction section 26 is conveyed onto the pasting plate storage pallet 25 via the suction conveying unit 27, and the pasting plate 18 that has been pasted is stored in a predetermined storage section.

By repeating the above steps, the lenses 11 stocked (set) on the lens supply pallet 14 can be automatically pasted one after another onto the pasting plate 18 in a highly precisely centered state. . Note that the lens supply pallet 14 and the pasting plate storage pallet 25 are used to store the lenses 11 to be pasted.
When one cycle of pasting work and storage work of the pasting plate 18 is completed, the next lens 11 to be pasted is
In order to set the lens 11 at a predetermined position and to store the next pasting plate 18 that has been pasted, movement is controlled in the X and Y axis directions, and this control is performed until there are no lenses 11 on the supply pallet 14.

As described above, according to this embodiment, the lens 11
Even if excess patch 12 protrudes onto the outer peripheral surface of the patch plate 18 and lens 11 when the patch plate 1 and the patch plate 1 are pressed together,
Since it is possible to attach the lens 11 while centering it with high accuracy, and it is cooled while the centering is fixed, it is possible to attach the lens 11 with high precision without attaching eccentricity. Furthermore, since there is no need to consider controlling the amount of protrusion of the patch 12, the patch 12 always maintains a constant film thickness and can be applied with high precision, which further improves the accuracy of the thickness of the lens 11. Furthermore, since the adhesive patch 12 is spread over the entire surface of the lens 11 to which it is applied, it is possible to prevent discoloration. As a result, it is possible to improve the processing accuracy and processing quality when grinding and polishing the lens.
