料8の硬化による塗膜収縮力により塗膜にクラツ
ク9が発生してしまうという問題があつた。

材の表面に塗布した塗料の塗膜収縮力を吸収する
ことができ、塗膜にクラツクを発生させることが
なく、ひいては品質の向上及び塗装の生産性を向
上させることにある。

[発明の開示] 本発明の外壁の目地部の塗装方法に、外壁1の

ツク6が発生した後に上塗り塗料を塗布して上塗
膜7を形成することを特徴とするものであり、こ
の構成により上記目的を達成できたものである。
即ち、下塗り塗料の下塗膜5に形成させたクラツ
ク6に上塗り塗料を浸入させて上塗り塗料による
投錨効果により上塗り塗料の硬化の際の塗膜収縮
力を吸収させて、上塗膜7にクラツクを発生させ
ないようにできるものである。

し、常温又は加熱して硬化させ、下塗膜5を形成
する。この場合、第1図中矢印で示すように下塗
り塗料の硬化による塗膜収縮力と未硬化のコーキ
ング材4の動きにより下塗膜5には網目状のクラ
ツク6が発生する。このクラツク6の深さは、下
塗り塗料を約10〜20g/m2塗布して下塗膜5を薄
く形成しているので、浅いものである。下塗り塗
料としてはクラツク6を発生させ易いという点で
硬性塗料が好ましい。この後、下塗膜5の上に上
塗り塗料を塗布し、硬化させて上塗膜7を形成し
て外癖1の仕上げを完了する。この場合、上塗り
塗料が下塗膜5のクラツク6内に浸入し、このク
ラツク6内で硬化した上塗り塗料部分7aがアン
カーとなつて上塗膜7を下塗膜5に密着させるこ
とができ、この投錨効果により上塗り塗料の硬化
による塗膜収縮力を吸収して上塗膜7にクラツク
を発生させることがないものである。尚、上塗り
塗料として弾性アクリル系塗料とか弾性ウレタン
系塗料のような弾性塗料を用いることにより、塗
膜収縮力を吸収してよりクラツクを発生させにく
くすることができる。

とができ、この下塗膜にクラツクが発生した後に
上塗り塗料を塗布して上塗膜を形成するので、こ
の場合、上塗り塗料が下塗膜のクラツク内に浸入
し、このクラツク内で硬化した上塗り塗料部分が
アンカーとなつて上塗膜を下塗膜に密着させるこ
とができ、この投錨効果により上塗り塗料の硬化
による塗膜収縮力を吸収して上塗膜にクラツクを
発生させることがないものであり、品質の向上と
外壁塗装の生産性を向上させることができる。
