本発明は高吸水性高分子化合物を含有してなる
化粧料に関する。高吸水性高分子化合物は、米国
農務省の研究所で開発されたでんぷんとアクリロ
ニトリルのグラフト重合物を加水分解したものに
端を発し、我国でも商品化、用途開発が活発に進
められているものである。高吸水性ポリマーは、
水を多量に吸収し、いつたん吸収した水は多少の
圧力をかけてもほとんど放出されず、周囲と平衡
状態になるまで徐々に揮散していくという性質を
有する。現在開発されている高吸水性ポリマーの
ほとんどは、分子内部に多量のナトリウムイオン
を包含しており、それゆえに真水を吸収する場合
には、分子内と外で大きなイオン濃度差が生じて
多量の水を吸収することになる。したがつて食塩
水のような電解質を吸収する場合には、分子内と
外とのイオン濃度差が小さくなり、吸水量が減少
する。応用面からみて食塩水の吸水量は重要であ
り、生理用ナプキンや紙おむつなどへ応用される
にあたつては、その性能が0.9%食塩水(生理食
塩水)の吸水能力で評価されているのは、公知の
事実である。従来利用されてきた吸水体であるス
ポンジやパルプ製品は、吸水能がたかだか自重の
20倍であるばかりでなく、吸水後外圧により容易
に放水してしまう。高吸水性高分子化合物は高吸
水性はもちろんのこと外圧に対する保水能力の大
きなことも特徴の1つである。従来、化粧料にお
いて用いられてきた粉末の吸水量は多い物でも
ほゞ自重の数倍程度しかない。従がつて皮膚から
多量の発汗があつた場合、汗の分泌速度を粉末の
吸水力や皮膚の粉末上からの蒸発速度が補ないき
れず皮膚の表面に塗布された粉末が化粧くずれを
起す原因となつていた。本発明の目的は、上記化
粧くずれの欠点を、自重の数百倍から千数百倍も
の水を含むことができる高吸水性高分子化合物の
うち特定の化合物を配合することにより、発汗を
積極的に吸収し発汗による化粧くずれを防ぐこと
のできるメーキヤツプ化粧料を提供することにあ
る。 すなわち、本発明は、自己架橋型ポリアクリル
酸ソーダよりなるアクリル酸系の高吸水性高分子
化合物を含有し、かつ実質的に水を含有しないこ
とを特徴とするメーキヤツプ化粧料である。 本発明で用いる高吸水性高分子化合物は本発明
の化粧料の全量中の0.1〜30重量%配合される。 本発明のメーキヤツプ化粧料は実質的に水を含
まないので、系中においてアクリル酸系の高吸水
性高分子化合物の吸水能が十分に発揮されその結
果、化粧くずれを有効に防止することができる。 以下、実施例を挙げて本発明をより詳細に説明
する。配合量は重量%である。 実施例 1 スミカゲルNP−1020(住友化学製の自己架
橋型ポリアクリル酸ナトリウム) 30.0 マイカ 40.0 タルク 2.8 酸化チタン 10.0 酸化鉄赤 1.0 〃 黄 3.0 〃 黒 0.2 スクワラン 8.0 2−エチルヘキサン酸エチル 4.0 防腐剤 0.5 香 料 0.5 〜をブレンダーで混合する(粉末相)。
