体1内へ導入されるマイクロ波で加熱され脱水さ
れる。そして脱水が終わると沸点を越えて温度が
上昇し、くすぶり状態となつて未然HCなどを発
生しはじめる。そしてマイクロ波により発熱し赤
熱状態となつている点火器2aによつて着火し、
焼却減量処理されて灰となる。燃焼に必要な空気
は給気口7を通じて給気送風機8により流入さ
せ、排ガスは排気口9を通じて排気送風機10に

の処理容器2に入れる。また、本体1の他の側面
に供給口6を開口し、この供給口6に連らなる導
波管6aの奥にマイクロ波発生装置5を設けてい
る。そして供給口6の下方には給気口7が設けら
れ、給気送風機8に連結されている。また、給気
送風機8の吐出側を分岐させマイクロ波発生装置
5に冷却風を供給する構成である。生ゴミの処理
容器2および格子板2bは、マイクロ波透過性の
耐熱性無機焼結体で構成している。また、点火器
2aは炭化けい素とチタン酸バリウムの焼結体で
構成され、1000℃以上の耐熱性を有し、かつマイ
クロ波を吸収して発熱する。本体1の上面には排
気口9が設けられ、排気送風機10に接続されて
いる。なお本体1の各開口部はマイクロ波の供給
口6を除いて電波漏れ防止の手段が施されてい

ている点火器2aにより着火されて燃焼し灰とな
る。灰になつた生ゴミ4は、第2図に示すように
格子板2bの格子の間を通つて下部の灰ストツク
部2cへ落下する。このため処理後、灰が点火器
2aをおおうように残ることはない。したがつて
続いて生ゴミを投入し処理しても、点火器2aの
着火機能が損われず、良好な燃焼が可能で、灰を
処理毎に捨てなくても、くり返し処理が可能とな
る。そして灰ストツク部2cが、格子板2b近く
までいつぱいになつた時点で灰を捨てればよい。
なお燃焼に必要な空気は給気口7より給気送風機
8によつて流入し、排ガスは排気口9より排気送
風機10により排気される。また生ゴミ4が灰と
なり負荷としてゼロになつても、点火器2aが負
荷として残るためマイクロ波発生装置5はいわゆ
る空だき状態で損傷することはない。また本実施
例では格子板としたが、第3図イに示すように生
ゴミの処理容器2内に板状の凸部を設けて点火器
2aを支える方法でも同様の効果を奏する。要は
生ゴミの処理容器内に、灰になる前の生ゴミを点
火器周りで一時保留する手段が施してあればよ
