(Prior Art) A conventional example will be explained with reference to FIG. 3, which is a partial schematic vertical cross-sectional view. In FIG. 3, the base plate 1 forms the lower part of the engine block and supports the crankshaft 2. An installation leg 3 protrudes laterally from an intermediate portion in the vertical direction of the side portion of the base plate 1, and the installation leg 3 is installed at the upper end of the leg portion 6 of the base floor 5.

The platform 5 is a box-shaped structure consisting of a bottom plate 7, a side plate 8, and a top plate 9, the inside of which is sealed, and an oil reservoir 10 is formed inside. The leg portion 6 is the upper plate 9
The oil pan 1 of the base plate 1 protrudes upward from the peripheral edge of the base plate 1 in the space inside the leg 6 (on the right side in FIG. 3).
1 is included. The oil pan 11 is formed in the lower half of the base plate 1, and the inside of the oil pan 11 and the oil reservoir 10 are connected by a lubricating oil return pipe 12.

The illustrated structure is employed in an auxiliary machine (auxiliary engine) for a generator, etc., and the base plate 1 of the above structure has the same structure as the base plate of a main engine (main engine) of a ship or the like. In other words, the main engine bedplate is generally set to the baseplate 1 shown in Figure 3 in order to improve the ease of installation on the ship's hull.
Similarly, the oil pan has a structure in which it has an installation leg at the middle part of the side part in the vertical direction, and the oil pan protrudes below the installation leg.

In the illustrated conventional example, by configuring the platform 5 as described above, it is possible to use the platform 1 having the same specifications as the main machine as an auxiliary machine and install it on the platform 5. Therefore, compared to the case where dedicated bed plates are used for each of the main machine and the auxiliary machine, the casting mold cost and processing jig cost when manufacturing the bed bed 5 can be halved, and the manufacturing cost can be significantly reduced.

(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) However, according to the above structure, there is wasted space on the outside of the oil pan 11 (on the left side in FIG. 3), and the height of the platform 5 increases by that amount. There's a problem. Furthermore, since the base 5 needs to be of a sealed structure, the cost of welding, sheet metal work, internal finishing, etc. increases. Furthermore, the inside of the oil pan 11 and the oil reservoir 10
A lubricating oil return pipe 12 connecting the lubrication oil return pipe 12 and a degassing pipe dedicated to the inside of the platform 5 are required, which also increases manufacturing costs. Furthermore, since a gap is formed around the oil pan 11, the sound radiated from the oil pan 11 leaks through the gap (particularly the gaps at the front and rear parts of the engine), resulting in an increase in noise.

(Means for Solving the Problems) In order to solve the above problems, the present invention provides a base plate having installation legs at the bottom of the engine, and installs the installation legs from the middle part in the vertical direction on both sides of the base plate to the sides. The lower half of the base plate forms the engine's oil pan, and the base floor is a box-shaped structure that opens upward. An oil reservoir is formed by the space inside the base floor and outside the oil pan, and a communication hole is provided in the oil pan to communicate the oil reservoir with the inside of the oil pan. The feature is that the gap between the part and the base plate is closed with a closing member.

As shown in FIG. 1 (a schematic enlarged cross-sectional view of FIG. 2), the base plate 26 of the engine 20 is provided with installation legs 27 in the vertically intermediate portions of both sides in a posture that protrudes outward. The downwardly protruding portion forms an oil pan 28.

The common platform 25 is a box-shaped structure having a bottom plate 30 and side plates 31, and does not have a top plate, and its top surface is open. Support members 32 are fixed to both sides of the upper edge of the side plate 31 (upper edge extending parallel to the crankshaft 21). The support member 32 protrudes from the upper edge of the side plate 31 toward the oil pan 28 , and the installation leg 27 is installed on the upper surface of the support member 32 .

The oil pan 28 is inserted into the upper half of the common platform 25, and an oil reservoir 33 is formed inside the common platform 25 and outside the oil pan 28. An inlet portion of a suction pipe 34 enters the lower part of the oil reservoir 33. As mentioned above, common platform 2
5 itself has a structure that opens upward, and therefore only the bottom wall 35 and peripheral wall 36 of the oil pan 28 are located between the inside of the oil pan 28 and the oil reservoir 33. Large-diameter communication holes 38 are provided at multiple locations on the bottom wall 35 and the peripheral wall 36. The inside of the oil pan 28 and the oil reservoir 33 communicate with each other through a communication hole 38, and the oil level A inside the oil pan 28 and the oil level A in the oil reservoir 33 match.

As shown in FIG. 2, the installation leg 27 and the support member 32 are provided long in a direction parallel to the crankshaft 21 over almost the entire length of the base plate 26. Therefore, no gap is formed between the side portion of the base plate 26 and the common base floor 25. Further, a closing member 40 having an L-shaped cross section is provided at both the front and rear ends of the base plate 26 (the edge on the generator 22 side and the edge on the opposite side). The closing member 40 closes the gap between the front end of the base plate 26 and the common base 25 and the gap between the rear end of the base plate 26 and the common base 25 in the engine width direction (direction perpendicular and horizontal to the crankshaft 21).
It is closed along its entire length. As mentioned above, the base plate 2
6, the upper end of the common base 25 and the base plate 2
The gap between 6 is closed. Although not shown, the upper surface of the common pedestal 25 is also closed in areas other than where the engine 20 is attached.

In order to attach the closing member 40 as described above, the gear case 41 and rear cover 42 at both ends of the engine are provided such that their lower ends are located above the closing member 40.

According to the above structure, the oil that has lubricated various parts of the engine returns to the inside of the oil pan 28 and the communication hole 38
The oil flows into the oil sump 33 through. The oil in the oil reservoir 33 is sucked into the suction pipe 34, and is supplied to various parts of the engine through a filter and an oil cooler.

(Effects of the Invention) According to the structure of the present invention described above, the oil pan 28 is immersed in oil, and the gap around the oil pan 28 is closed over the entire circumference, so that no airflow from the oil pan 28 can be achieved. Radiated sound is blocked and external noise is reduced. Further, since the base floor 25 has an upwardly open structure, the base floor 25 can be easily manufactured and costs can be reduced. Moreover, since the inside of the oil pan 28 and the oil reservoir 33 are communicated with each other through the communication hole 38, the connecting pipe structure between the two can be omitted. Therefore, outfitting work becomes easier and costs can be reduced. Since no wasted space is formed around the oil pan 28, the height of the common platform 25 can be set small. Of course, the base plate 26, that is, the installation leg 2, has basically the same specifications as the main engine.
Base plate 2 with oil pan 28 projecting below 7
6 can be used, the manufacturing cost of the base plate 26 can also be reduced.
