部と媒体面の分離長が瞬間的に大きくなり、ヘッドのも
っている性能が十分に反映されず、ヘッドの読み出し電
圧が低下し、同時に媒体はきわめて不自然な機械的歪を
局部的に受けることになるので、局部的に損傷し、記録
されていたはずの信号を再び取り出すことができなくな
ると言う欠点があった。
