Description
【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、光センサ又は磁気センサを使用してライトプ

従来、光センサ又は磁気センサを使用してライトプロテ
クト検出を行なう磁気記録再生装置は、第1図に示す如
く、ライトプロテクト検出を、例えば、フォトトランジ
スタ2と発光ダイオード3及び電流電圧変換用の抵抗
4、電流制御用の抵抗5、電源7からなるライトプロテ
クト検出回路Aで行なう。ライトプロテクトの有無は光
路が遮断されるかどうかで判断する。制御回路1は、磁
気記録媒体の有無を検出した第1、の信号6と同期して
おり、磁気記録媒体がない状態では、ライトプロテクト
検出を行なう必要はない。電源7を5Vとし、発光ダイ
オード3に流す電流を15mAフォトトランジスタ2の出
力を3mAとすると、ライトプロテクト検出回路の消費電
力は90mWである。磁気記録媒体の有無を検出した時に
ライトプロテクトの有無を判断すれば、それ以降のライ
トプロテクト回路電力90mWは、むだな電力となる。
又、電池駆動などの低消費設計を行なう時には、全消費
電力が2W前後になるためライトプロテクト検出で消費

本発明の一実施例を第2図について説明する。ライトプ
ロテクト検出は第1図で説明した方式と同様に行なう。
ライトプロテクト検出回路Aの電源7に、トランジスタ
9及びバイアス電流を得える抵抗10,11からなり、
ライトプロテクト検出回路Aへ電源7を供給する、ある
いはライトプロテクト検出回路Aへ供給している電源7
を遮断する電源回路Bを設ける。マイクロコンピュータ
で構成された制御回路8は、磁気記録媒体の有無を検出
した第1の信号6に同期して、トランジスタ9がONす
る第2の信号及びトランジスタ9がOFFする第4の信
号を信号線12によって出力する。ただし一度検出すれ
ば磁気記録媒体が、出し入れされない限りライトプロテ
クトの有無は変化しない。よって、制御回路8は、第1
の信号6の論理値が偽から真に変化した直後、即ち、記
録媒体の存在を示す第1の信号6が入力されたときに第
2の信号を出力する。そして、電源回路Bにその第2の
信号が入力され、電源回路Bのトランジスタ9がONす
る。これによって、ライトプロテクト検出回路Aが作動
し、ライトプロテクトの有無を検出する。検出後、ライ
トプロテクト検出回路Aからライトプロテクトの有無を
表す第3の信号が、信号線13によって制御回路8へ出
力される。それに伴い、制御回路8からは第4の信号が
電源回路Bへ出力される。これによって、電源回路Bの
トランジスタ9がOFFし、ライトプロテクト回路Aへ
供給している電源を遮断する。そのため、ライトプロテ
