DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION [Industrial field of application] The present invention improves the dispersibility of a blend particle component and imparts diping characteristics by treating the blend particle component in a non-asbestos friction material with an elastomer. It relates to non-asbestos friction materials.

The non-asbestos friction material has a poor dispersibility of the compound as compared with the asbestos friction material, and this tendency is large especially in the case of organic filler particles or inorganic filler particles having a large particle size.

That is, since the non-asbestos material has less flexibility and interaction of fibers than the asbestos material, the filler having large particles is difficult to be held by the fiber and the dispersibility is deteriorated. There is also a drawback that the flexibility of the molded product is smaller than that of the asbestos material.

The elastomer used in the present invention is preferably NBR rubber (nitrile / butadiene rubber) or SBR rubber (styrene / butadiene rubber) from the viewpoints of tackiness and cost. Various compounded rubbers containing sulfur, accelerators, reinforcing agents, (inorganic) fillers, etc. are suitable for the required materials.

Elastomers of these various raw rubbers or compounded rubbers are 5
It is desirable to use it as a solution of about 30 wt%.
This is because if it is 5 wt% or less, the effect is small, and if it is 30 wt% or more, the solution viscosity becomes high and the workability deteriorates.

Cashew dust is used as the organic filler particles, graphite is used as the inorganic filler particles, and only cashew dust and both cashew dust and graphite are treated with an SBR compound rubber solution (solution concentration 20 wt%). With respect to compounding, non-asbestos friction material products (implemented products 1 and 2 were molded according to a conventional method. For comparison, comparative products were molded using untreated organic and inorganic fillers, and comparative tests were performed.
