Reference numeral 12 is a first member for holding the light emitting / receiving element 11, which holds the light emitting / receiving element 11,
13 is a second member for holding the light emitting and receiving element 11, which holds the light receiving and emitting element 11,
Reference numeral 14 is an adjusting member for adjusting the relative position between the light emitting / receiving element 11 and the rod lens 16, and 15 is a rod lens holding member for holding the rod lens. Since the light emitting and receiving module must be constructed with extremely high precision, the adjusting member 14 is arranged with respect to the light receiving and emitting element 11 which is sandwiched and held by the first light emitting and receiving element first member 12 and the second light receiving and emitting element second member 13. While adjusting the position of the optical axis between the rod lens 16 and the rod lens 16 while moving in the left-right direction, the adjustment member 14 and the rod lens holding member 15 are finely adjusted in the vertical direction in the figure. After the rod lens 16 is positioned at the optimum position with respect to the light emitting / receiving element 11, it is formed by welding at the ▴ mark in the drawing.

問題があった。(Problems to be Solved by the Invention) In such a conventional configuration, the adjusting member 14 must be provided with a thin portion, and therefore the rigidity is low. Further, as shown in the figure, since the welding must be performed on the step portion, the welding directions are not uniform, and there is a problem that the manufacturing becomes complicated.

A rod lens, a rod lens holding member for holding the rod lens, and an adjusting member for adjusting the relative position between the rod lens and the light emitting / receiving element are provided, and the adjacent members are welded after the position adjustment. In the light emitting and receiving module, a taper is formed at the end of the adjusting member that is welded to the rod lens holding member, and a welding recess is formed at the end of the light receiving and emitting element holding member that is welded to the adjusting member. Is formed.

Further, the rod lens 6 is held by the rod lens holding member 5, and the rod lens holding member 5 is fitted into the adjusting member 4. The adjusting member 4 is brought into contact with the first holding member 2 that holds the light emitting / receiving element, and is moved in the left-right direction in the drawing to be adjusted so that the central axes of the light receiving / emitting element 1 and the rod lens 6 are aligned with each other. Welding with the adjusting member 4 is performed at the portion marked with ▲. Next, the rod lens holding member 5 was slid with respect to the adjusting member 4 in the vertical direction of the figure so that the distance between the light emitting / receiving element 1 and the rod lens 6 became a predetermined distance, and the axial position was adjusted. After that, the adjustment member 4 and the rod lens holding member 5 are welded at the position of the mark ∘ in the figure at the tip of the tapered portion 7. Since the adjusting member 4 has the tapered portion 7 and welding is applied to the tip end portion thereof, the adjusting member 4 itself can be made thick and the rigidity thereof can be increased. Further, since the first light receiving / emitting element holding member 2 and the adjusting member 4 are joined by welding at the recessed portion 8, as a result of the optimum position adjustment, the first light receiving / emitting element holding member 2 and the adjusting member 4 are joined together. Even if there is a step at the joint, the welding direction can be kept constant as indicated by the ▲ mark in the figure.
