ぐり抜けたのち天秤の糸取上げ作用によって取上げられ
(第5C,6C図)その途上においてボビンcより縫い
目に至る下糸dを捕え、布下側に手繰り寄せる(第5
D,6D図)。つづいて一針目分の布送りが行われ、こ
の布送り作用と天秤による糸取上げ作用とによって縫い
目の引締めが行われ、上糸と下糸の搦む結節点が引き込
まれるが(第5E,6E図)、ボビンcより縫い目に至
る間の下糸の長さは図示するものにおいては、左側の結
節点までの長さl1の方が右側の結節点までの長さl2より
も短いため右針落ち位置での縫い目形成時の方が左針落
ち位置における場合よりも長い分だけ余計にボビンcよ
り下糸を引出さなくてはならない。このことを第7図に
よって更に詳しく説明すると、左針落ち位置での縫い目
形成時にはeg間の下糸が上糸ループによって手繰り上
げられて、左針落ち位置gで結節し、それに必要な不足
糸量がボビンより引出されるのに対し、右針落ち位置で
はef間の下糸が右針落ち位置fで結節し、それに必要
な不足糸量がボビンより引出されるが、eg間の下糸の
長さl1はef間の下糸の長さl2よりも短いため右針落ち
位置での縫い目形成時の方が左針落ち位置での縫い目形
成時よりもボビンより余計に下糸を引出さねばならな
い。
