Paper is usually treated as an insulator, but it is known that it has the properties to be considered as a semiconductor in a strict sense. For example, when a high voltage is applied, the whole paper shows a certain potential, and a minute current flows. By utilizing this property, electrostatic dust collection can be performed. (See, for example, Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 59-69162 of the present applicant.) However, the specific resistance of the paper is 1 due to the change of humidity in the air.

Since it will change drastically, it is necessary to take measures against this.

It is known that the current required to attach the charged fine particles to the electrode for dust collection is 10 −4 μA / cm 2 . The dust collection voltage in a dust collection chamber with an electrode spacing of 3 mm is about 3000 v, and if the voltage drop in the electrode is allowed to be 10%, that is, 300 v, the specific resistance x (MΩ) of the electrode is become.

Therefore, it is necessary to perform a desired conductive treatment on one side of the paper to cover it. The paper electrode that has been subjected to such a conductive treatment has the following features as compared with the conventional metal electrode.

An electrostatic precipitator using a paper electrode that utilizes such properties,
Since it is inexpensive, downsized, and easy to maintain, it can be widely used in offices, shops, amusement parks, ordinary households and the like. In such an application, it is a prerequisite that cleaning and maintenance can be easily performed unlike a large-sized industrial dust collector. Therefore, it is desirable that the dust collecting electrode can be attached / detached to / from the housing portion very easily, and that cleaning / maintenance can be easily performed. In particular, since the paper electrode is often thrown away when the dust collection limit is reached, it is required that the raw material cost as well as the assembling / manufacturing cost be low. A structure of a paper dust collecting electrode for a dust collecting device satisfying all of these conditions has not been obtained hitherto.

According to the paper-made dust collecting electrode of the present invention, both the dust collecting and repulsion electrode plates are made of paper having the same shape, and the electrodes of one pole are simply arranged in opposite directions with a narrow gap. It is possible to assemble very easily by the fixing piece that penetrates the enlarged portion of the fixing hole of (1) without contact and engages with the fixing hole of the other electrode. Therefore, only one type of die cutting process is required for the electrode plate, and the assembling process can be simplified. According to the structure of such a paper electrode, it is possible to obtain a disposable dust collecting electrode assembly which is an inexpensive electrode assembly.

A fixed number of fixing holes 12 are formed in the electrode plate 10. The fixing hole is formed in an eggplant shape including an enlarged portion 12a and a reduced portion 12b. For this fixing hole,
A similar fixing hole 12 'is also provided on the right side. This positional relationship is such that when the electrode plates 10 are reversed and overlapped with each other, the enlarged portion 12a of the fixed hole 12 and the reduced portion 12'b of the fixed hole 12 ',
The reduced portion 12b of the fixed hole 12 and the enlarged portion 12'a of the fixed hole 12 'are formed so as to overlap each other. The other fixing holes are also formed to have the same relationship.

Further, on one side of the electrode plate 10, a power feeding piece 14 for applying a high voltage for dust collection is formed. A conductive surface such as a shaded portion 16 is provided at an appropriate portion from the power feeding piece 14 to the right side in order to mitigate the above-mentioned fluctuation of the specific resistance of the paper itself, especially the increase of the specific resistance at low humidity. Processing is performed. Such conductive surface treatment is applied to the fixing holes 12, 12 '.
In addition, it can be formed in an arbitrary shape at an arbitrary position in consideration of convenience in structure and assembly.

This fixed piece 20 is an enlarged portion 12a of the fixed hole 12 of FIG.
Since it is inserted using a slit connecting between the reduced portion 12b and the reduced portion 12b, the total width D of the portion 20a is set to be equal to or smaller than the dimension of the fixing hole 12 in the longitudinal direction. In addition, the width d of the thin connecting portion 20b of the fixing piece 20 is formed to have a size suitable for the reduced portion 12b of the fixing hole. Furthermore, the connecting portion 20
Fins 20c having a dimension L are provided on both sides of b in order to maintain a gap between the dust collecting electrode and the repulsion electrode. The connecting portion 20b is formed to have a size slightly larger than the thickness of the paper board forming the electrode.

FIG. 3 is a perspective view of an electrode structure in which the electrode plate 10 of FIG. 1 is assembled with the fixing piece 20 of FIG. The size and the number of these electrodes should be appropriately selected depending on the application, capacity and the like. In addition, the electrode configured in this manner is configured so that both ends serve as dust collecting electrodes. When the particles are charged by the positive corona, a negative voltage is applied. In this case, an electrode shape suitable for the end may be adopted, but it is omitted in this figure. As is clear from the broken portion, the conductive treatment portions 16 applied from the power feeding piece 14 to a part of the electrode surface are arranged in the same direction. Therefore, if the first sheet is on the surface of the paper, the second and subsequent conductive treatment portions 16 'are also oriented on the same surface. The assembling is performed by inserting the first fixing piece 20 through the fixing hole 12 as described above and then rotating the reduced portion 12b of one of the electrodes by 90 degrees. Then, the second fixing piece is rotated by 90 degrees in the reduced portion 12'b of the other electrode, which is entirely arranged upside down, and is fixed again. Electrode plates 18 for both ends as shown in, for example, FIG. 4 are provided at both front and rear ends, and a part of a fixing piece 20 is engaged with a fixing hole 13 having no enlarged portion, thereby forming an electrode assembly. 30 are configured.

The paper-made dust collecting electrode assembly shown in this embodiment has the advantage that the punching step and the conductive surface treatment step are simplified because both positive and negative electrodes can be formed by the electrode plate 10 having the same structure. . Furthermore, it is extremely easy to assemble using the fixing piece 20 which can be formed very easily. Therefore, in addition to the originally low raw material cost as compared with the conventional metal or metallized material, the number of manufacturing / assembling steps can be reduced and the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
