Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、インクジェット記録装置に関し、さらに詳細
には熱エネルギーによりインク滴を吐出するインクジェ
ット記録装置に関する。

開昭59−95154号公報や特開昭59−52664
号公報に記載されているような、インクを加熱してその
圧力でインク滴を吐出し、記録媒体にインク像を記録す
るインクジェット記録装置が提案されている。

ンクジェット記録装置では、流路が平面的に広がってお
り、発熱体がその流路にノズルに対向して配置されてい
るため、発熱体から発生した熱エネルギーによる圧力
が、ノズル方向のみならず四方に分散してしまい、吐出
圧力が弱くなるという問題を有している。

装置に比べ大きいものの、インク供給路が狭められてい
るため、インク供給が遅く吐出応答性が遅いという問題
がある。さらに、ノズル側に突起を有し、且つ発熱体近
傍にインク供給口を配置しているため、ノズル側の抵抗
が大きく、また、バルブ発生時の圧力が発熱体近傍の供
給口から逃げてしまい、吐出口率に問題があった。

の壁面によりバブルの冷却を早め、吐出応答性を向上さ
せることができる。また、隣接するインク吐出口におけ
るクロストークを防止することもできる。
