In the figure, the width and length of the IC card are the same as those of the credit card of 54 mm and 86 mm, respectively. The IC card has various thicknesses, but in this example, the female connector is arranged in the short side direction and a metal case is used, so that the IC card has a relatively thick dimension of 3 mm.

Therefore, it can be seen that this type of IC card is exposed to various temperature and humidity conditions. Especially in an environment with low humidity, there arises a problem that static electricity destroys data in the IC card or destroys the mounted IC itself in the IC card.

And a metal wiring portion in the printed circuit board 15 is discharged. The metal wiring portion is a signal wiring to the IC in the card, a power source, or a GND wiring. Therefore, as a result of such discharge, the IC itself is destroyed, or the signal level on the wiring where the discharge occurs is changed. Data in the IC will be destroyed.

A triple film structure in which an insulating film, a conductive film, and an insulating film are stacked in this order is provided between the printed circuit board and the metal case, and the conductive film and the dedicated electrode on the printed circuit board are electrically connected. However, it is characterized in that the dedicated electrode and the power supply wiring or the GND wiring in the electric circuit on the printed circuit board are electrically connected via a resistor of 1 KΩ or more.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view showing an IC card according to a first embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, the IC card of this embodiment has a pair of metal cases 11 similar to the conventional example, and a pair of insulating sheets 1.

Parts different from the above-mentioned conventional example, that is, an integrated conductive film (for example, a conductive resin) 13, a pair of insulating films 14
In addition, one end of the conductive film 13 and the dedicated electrode 102 provided on the printed circuit board 15 are electrically connected by a conductive material (for example, copper wire) 101, and the dedicated electrode 102 and the printed circuit board 15 are added. Upper power supply or GND wiring 10
4 and 4 were connected by a resistor 103. Here, the dedicated electrode 10
2 is formed on the front surface and the back surface of the printed circuit board 15, and both are electrically shorted by through holes.
Further, the conductive material 101 can actually be made sufficiently shorter than that shown in FIG.

Along with the discharge, a current flows on the conductive film 13 centering on the discharge location. By setting the layer resistance of the conductive film 13 to an appropriately large value, the discharge current is effectively close to the discharge location. It can be made to flow only in the area.
That is, it can be considered that the discharge energy is converted into heat energy by the resistor in the region near the discharge location on the conductive film 13. Therefore, the static electricity applied to the metal case 11 is surely discharged onto the conductive film 13, and energy is consumed in the conductive film 13. It can be seen that the effect of is prevented.

Unlike No. 1, it is considered that the conductive film 13 and the printed circuit board 15 are less charged with static electricity. However, since it is possible that the conductive film 13 and the printed circuit board 15 are gradually charged, it is more preferable to provide the resistor 103.

Configured as a KΩ printed resistor (not shown). By using this printing resistor, the area occupied by the resistor on the printed circuit board can be reduced as compared with the conventional one, the cost can be reduced, and a high electrostatic breakdown voltage can be realized as in the first embodiment.
