Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明の主題は口臭に有効な製剤である。
従来技術とその問題点 口臭には種々の原因がある。第一に、口臭は口腔内の細
菌又は酵素による食物分子の分解や、義歯の具合が全体
的によくないことから起りうる。ここでの発現の理由
は、直接に口腔そのものにある。しかし、たまねぎ、に
んにくなど臭いの強い食品を食べたあとや、アルコール
摂取などからも起る。この場合、口臭は胃に原因があ
る。
口腔内に生ずる不快な臭いに対して、歯ブラシと歯磨き
による一日数回の規則的な歯の手入れ、口のリンス剤、
チューインガムの使用や特殊な製品をしゃぶるなど、多
くの手段が取られる。
胃が原因で起る口臭を除くか減らすかするためには、主
に数回に分けて投薬できる製品でクロロフィルの効果に
頼るものしかない。しかし、これらの製品は難溶性の天
然クロロフィルを含有しておらず、従って指示された目
的に対して純粋に天然製品ではなく、注意深いアルカリ
加水分解で得られクロロフィリン類に指定されているク
ロロフィルのナトリウム又はカリウム塩である。投与後
これらはそれとわかるほど臭いを減らし、口腔でも基本
的にこの効果を示す。しかし、これらは口腔粘膜と歯に
長期の変色を起こすので、ごく低濃度でしか使用できな
い。例えば歯磨きでは、0.2％ないし0.5％のクロロフィ
リン類を含有している。
口臭並びに胃から生ずる口臭を減らすのに適した製剤
で、好ましくは天然の出発材料を含有するものは知られ
ていない。
問題点を解決する手段 粉末にしてスパイスとして用いられるカルダモン草の種
子が、これを噛んでから飲み込むと、口腔並びに胃から
生ずる口臭を減らすのに適していることがわかった。種
子は天然の産物であるから、個々の種子を外皮塊（糖パ
ール剤）で被覆するか、又はある量の種子をこの外皮塊
（チューイング・ボンボン）に仕込んで、種子の腐敗を
防ぐとともに、適量決定と投与をやりやすくする。外皮
塊は砂糖と、ソルバイト、キシライト等又はそれらの組
合せのような代用糖からなる。口腔の臭いを消す効果を
高めるため、ペパミント油や他の精油などの芳香性物質
を外皮塊に添加するのが好ましい。
適量に関する関与でも、いずれの場合も容易で効果は驚
くほどよい。糖パール剤約６錠を摂取するか、又は６個
の種子を含有するチューイング・ボンボン１個を噛みし
めてから、噛んだ塊を飲み込む。
本発明を以下の実施例によって説明する。
実施例１ ゼラチン450ｇを水570ｇと混ぜ、約20分間放置してふく
らませる。次に、塊を約45℃に加熱しデキストロース一
水塩900ｇ、ブドウ糖シロップ1,125ｇ、ココナツ油336
ｇ及び（乳化分散剤として）ヌルパス63ｇを加える。こ
の混合物を、予め134℃に加熱しておいた水３リットル
中の砂糖9.750kgとブドウ糖シロップ10.5kgからなる混
合物に添加する。この混合物に更にココナツ油1.5kg、
粉末砂糖1.5kg、ペパミント油60ml及びカルダモン種子3
00ｇを加える。この塊をよく混合し、約35℃まで放冷し
てから、堅いボンボン塊の製造に慣用されている押出し
機により、塊を引張って空気を混ぜる。こうして処理さ
れた塊を次にカッターとコイル巻機を備えた押出し機に
仕込む。これにより、平均約６個のカルダモン種子を含
有する各々約５ｇの角型のものが得られる。これらのチ
ューイング・ボンボンの製造量は約5,000個である。
実施例２ カルダモン種子１kgを被覆用容器に入れ、下の組成の香
りをつけた砂糖溶液により、この技術で知られた方法で
一段階ずつ、パール剤当り200ｇの重量となるまで被覆
する。
最後の被覆をする前に、香りをつけた砂糖溶液にクロロ
フィリン(E 141)0.02％を添加すると、緑色の着色が得
られる。最終製造量は、各々カルダモン種子１個を含有
するやや緑がかった色の糖剤（パール剤）10万個（＝20
kg)である。
たまねぎ、にんにく、たばこ、アルコールの消費から起
る口臭に対する本発明製剤の有効性は、次のように試験
された。
１群12名で、２群のグループをつくり、各群２名ずつ
に、一人当りかまねぎ又はにんにくのジュース１mlない
し暖かいビール237mlを飲ませるか、又はフィルターな
しのたばこ２本を吸わせた。臭気物質の摂取直後とその
後ある期間内に、口臭の強さを下の尺度に従って決定
し、個々の値から平均値を計算した。４種のにおいの各
々に対し、一方の群には臭気物質の投与直後と120分後
にもう一度、いずれもにおいの強さを測定後、実施例２
に従ってつくられるパール製剤６個を投与した。試験群
と未処理対照群の平均値を第１表に示す。
評価の尺度 ０＝無臭 ２＝臭気がかすかに感じられる。
４＝臭気は十分感じられる。
６＝強い臭気。
８＝非常に強い臭気。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】砂糖及び／又は砂糖の代用品からなる外皮
    塊で被覆されたカルダモン草の種子を含むことを特徴と
    する口臭防止用製剤。
  2. 【請求項２】各種子が個々に外皮塊によって被覆されて
    いることを特徴とする、特許請求の範囲第１項に記載の
    製剤。
  3. 【請求項３】１個より多くの種子が一緒に外皮塊で被覆
    されていることを特徴とする、特許請求の範囲第１項に
    記載の製剤。
  4. 【請求項４】外皮塊に芳香性物質を加えていることを特
    徴とする、特許請求の範囲第１〜３項のいずれか一に記
    載の製剤。
  5. 【請求項５】芳香性物質がペパミント油であることを特
    徴とする、特許請求の範囲第４項に記載の製剤。
