In recent years, it has been clarified that 5α-dehydrotestosterone, which is a metabolite of the male hormone testosterone, has a great influence on the cause of alopecia. Accordingly, as preventive and therapeutic agents for male pattern baldness, 5α-reductase inhibitors that suppress the production of 5α-dehydrotestosterone, and binding inhibitors that inhibit the binding of 5α-dehydrotestosterone and its receptor Attention has been paid. As such a 5α-reductase inhibitor, for example, oleic acid is known (JP-A-59-152308).
However, the effect is still unsatisfactory.
Further, any drug that inhibits the binding between 5α-dehydrotestosterone and the receptor has a structure similar to a steroid hormone, and there is concern that it may exert a hormonal action by itself, and it has not been put to practical use.

The extraction operation may be carried out by a known method such as a batch method or a reflux method, and 1 part of a dried plant material (finely disintegrated in the case of flower parts, finely chopped in the case of root parts) of extraction solvent 3 Add ~ 30 parts. Extraction temperature is room temperature, under heating,
Either may be used, but approximately 1 in the temperature range of room temperature to 80 ° C.
It is preferable to carry out the stirring for 10 hours under mild conditions. The extraction operation is repeated several times, and the extracts are combined and then concentrated to dryness under reduced pressure at a temperature of 40 ° C. or less as much as possible to obtain an extract.
