超音波エネルギーを与えるとピッカー先端の超音波振動
エネルギーが毛に伝わる。この毛に伝わった超音波振動
エネルギーは、毛が固着されている毛根部一点に集中す
る。そのため他の組織を破壊することがなく、また副作
用が発生しない程度の弱い超音波振動エネルギーでも充
分毛根部の組織の分断ができる。さらに、この超音波エ
ネルギーは、痛みの閾値を上げ、引き抜く際の摩擦抵抗
を軽減するので、安全で効率の良い脱毛ができる。ま
た、この分断がなされた時点で毛は自然に抜けるため、
さほどの痛みを感じさせることなく脱毛することができ
る新規な脱毛方法及び装置を提供するものである。

示す如しであって、5は筒状のケースであって、このケ
ース5内には振動子6が、その振動を妨げることのない
位置に取付けられている支持部材7を介して保持されて
いる。またこの振動子6の先端には、ホーン8を介して
一方のピック片9が固定されているものである。その一
方のピック片9に対応する他方のピック片9′は、前記
筒状ケース5と一体に固定されているものである。
