後、特殊分野での発展が期待される。これら合成繊維の
うち、ビニロン繊維、ポリアクリロニトリル繊維は従来
からかなり多量に使用されて来ているが、要求性能の高
度化から、最近は、最も優れた性能を有するポリエステ
ル繊維による紙の開発が種々試みられている。しかしな
がら、従来のポリエステル短繊維を使用したポリエステ
ル繊維紙は、高目付で厚さが厚く、紙の風合が硬くなる
うえ、紙料費がかさみ、コスト高になるという欠点があ
った。そこで、低目付にして、厚さを薄くすると、風合
は軟らかくなり、コストも低下するが、紙強力が低くな
り、不透明度が悪くなって、衣料用途には不適当となっ
てしまう。更には、液体、気体、細菌などが通り抜け易
くなって、手術着、医療材料、衛生材料用に不向きとな
るという問題が生ずる。

行って種々の長さに切断した。得られた短繊維は繊維濃
度が0.5%になるように水中へ分散し、同時にパルプ及
びアクリル酸エステル樹脂(バインダー)を下記配合割
合で添加した。

は、隠蔽性の改善効果が小さかった。

全有効成分に対して5重量%以上配合抄紙してなるポリ
エステル繊維紙。
