トのプリンタが市場に出てきたが、印字ヘッドとプラテ
ン間にリボンマスクをつける等して対策している。とこ
ろが高速化が進むと印字ヘッドとプラテン間は極小にし
なければならず、その時リボンマスクを削除すると用紙
端にてひっかけられリボン走行位置を安定化出来ないた
め、本発明が必要となってくる。

〔発明の概要〕 プリンタ装置において、用紙を自動セットしようとした
場合、用紙を印字ヘッドとプラテン間を通すわけだが、
このスキマが極小のため、用紙先端にてリボンをひっか
け、リボン外れという現象を生じさせる。この解決策と
して用紙セット時、印字ヘッドを用紙幅より外に移動
させる印字ヘッドとプラテンのスキマを大きくする等
が考えられ、実現に手動セットの際、前記を行って
いる。ところが将来ますます小型化の要求が強くなる
と、プリンタ装置の幅は用紙幅と同程度に限定され、用
紙幅より外に移動できなくなることが予想され、仮に行
ったとしても用紙中央付近がたわんでしまうため、印字
ヘッドはプラテン中央付近に移動させ用紙セットを行う
必要があり、では対処出来なくなってくる。の対策
は、手動で行うには簡単だが、自動化するには機構が複
雑になり現実的でなくなってくる。

んでしまい、うまくローラ6とプラテン4の間に挿入さ
れなくなる。ところが、印字ヘッド5を中央付近に移動
させるとリボン7がガイドローラ6により印字ヘッド5
の先端付近でガイドされているが、このリボン7はリボ
ンモータ8等で巻取り可能となっており、通常印字状態
時に巻取っている。このリボンが停止していると用紙先
端にて、ひっかけられ上方向に移動し印字ヘッド4より
外れる等の障害を発生させてしまう。
