を塗布して防食カバーを管接続部に被覆することを特徴
とする管接続部の防食工法に存する。

質の粘度は100cps(20℃)以下とし、余分の塗液は直ち
に流れ去るようにしておくのが好ましく、又、このよう
に低い粘度とする方がハケ塗りやスプレー塗りの作業性
がよい。

は粘着性を抑制し、同時にタンニン酸は管接続部の鉄表
面にタンニン酸鉄の皮膜を形成し腐食の発生を防止す
る。また、被覆された初期に粘着性を抑制していた水分
は土圧の作用も手伝って徐々に防食カバーと管接合部と
の間の空間へ蒸発し、これに伴って粘着力は再現し防食
カバーと管接続部は経時と共に完全密着する。そして防
食カバーと管接合部との間の空間へ蒸発した水分は再び
粘着剤層面へ浸入することなく、長期間にわたり信頼性
のある水密性が得られる。

を固定するボルト、ナット等のような防食カバーの粘着
剤層に接触し易い凸部部分に塗布するのが効果的であ
る。

は管継手a及び鋼管2,2′が防食カバー5によって被覆
された状態の断面図である。防食カバーを管継手aに被
覆するに際し、管継手a表面にはタンニン酸水溶液が塗
布されているためカバー本体51内面の粘着剤6に管継手
aのフランジ1,1′の周縁部やボルト・ナット3が触れ
ても粘着することなく極めて容易に装置することができ
た。これを土中に埋設した20日後に防食カバーを切開
し、該防食カバーと鉄フランジとの接着状態を観察した
ところ、鉄フランジのタンニン酸水溶液を塗布した部分
はタンニン酸鉄の黒色被膜が生じたが腐食は発生せず、
鉄フランジ外周面と粘着剤とは完全に接着され、更にタ
ンニン酸水溶液を塗布したボルト・ナットと粘着剤とが
接した部分も同様によく接着していた。
